The ribbed edge does have dust in the creases.photo#5 there is old paint there as well. there is also a spot on one side where there was paint as well photo#3. there is either a scratch or crack on the inside of the shade photo 7-where there are 2 lines that are very very thin and do not go thru the glass they are just on the surface. otherwise for the age it is in great shape.measures 12/14 inches wide at base and 3 1/4 high. the center indents about under 1 inch. this item is quite heavy. it either goes ups or priority till ebay gets parcel post up and running. Superb Antique Double Socket Brass & Green Glass Table Lamp Body Lights Up 1930s
This auction is for a Fantastic Antique Double Socket Table Lamp With Great Brass Metal Work and a Lovely Soft Green Glass Body with a Molded Relief Floral Design that lights up. The piece is in very good condition. Especially for its age, which I believe dates to the 1930s. There are no cracks or chips in the glass or breaks or dents to the metal. I have tested the lamp and it works well. Both of the top sockets which activate on pull cords and the center body that lights up by a twist knob on the base. The brass pieces have a nice patina built up. The Green Glass body is frosted and molded into a relief design of leaves or thistle. The brass at the base and above the glass has an elaborately designed reticulated Victorian pattern. The lamp has a center rod that adjusts. Allowing you to raise the main sockets a few inches. The sockets also ... moreare hinged, which allows you to separate them apart from one another depending on your lighting needs. The lamp measures about 25 inches from the base to the top of the sockets. The lamp base measures about 8 inches across. The lamp doesn't come with a finial or shade. The center body cast a very soft. Soothing accent glow. The hardware appears to be original to the lamp. There are no makers marks so I am not certain of the manufacture. The glass shade measures 10" in diameter and other than a couple of small nicks on the top rim. Has no chips or cracks. The fixture hangs about 11" measuring from ceiling to finial. The white glaze looks super, with only a few small flea bites. The fixture takes 2 standard base bulbs and no max wattage is noted on the fixture. These sconces are almost perfect but as I tried to capture in the last two photos there is a small crack forming by the outlet on one sconcethat is the only blemish on them. Antique 1930s Art Deco Slip Shade Sconces
A very fine pair of antique. Circa 1920's, gilt white metal electric sconces with Peach iridescent chevron glass slip in shades. The Sconces are made by the Markel Electric company. They have been rewired, and have new brass turn switches. The sconces measure 10-1/2" tall by 5-1/2" wide, the shades 3-1/2" deep from the wall. Excellent condition: white metal without breaks or losses, original finish. The glass is without cracks though there may be a few flea bites which don't show when in sconces. This is a gorgeous antique five-light chandelier. Made of glass and brass, found in a home in Charlotte, NC. Dating from the 1930’s, the chandelier begins with a simple loop finial which perches above the fixture's flared glass upper body. Below, the urn-shaped lower body is beautifully gadrooned. Elegant s-shaped arms affix to the chandelier's body and extend outward to support gadrooned glass wax pans. The fixture finishes in a fluted glass ball. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Vintage 1930's pink chic ceiling light fixture. Art deco glass with beaded glass detail. It has been tested and works great. It is missing the finial(the metal end that holds the shade up/in place) and missing the two screws the hold it to the ceiling(can be easily replaced at home improvement store) The base has a light chip and the clear flat plate that goes on top of the shade has some light chips. Up for auction is a 1930s art deco lamp. It needs to be rewired and cleaned up. But it would make a great project. Also has a missing metal part on the side but its not noticeable(especially if you hang it in a corner. The inside looks very clean and it should work fine with a new wire. Antique 1930s or so Textured Swag Glass Wall Sconce Light Shade STARS starburst
This a SINGLE Glass Light SHADE. I believe it to be from the 1920s or 1930's? It measures all of 4 1/8" tall. The part that would attach to a lamp. Or fixture, measures about 2 1/8" in diameter and has an inward"lip" allowing them to be secured safely onto a fixture or lamp. The WIDEST part is 6 SIDED and the measurement from POINT TO POINT measures 5" in diameter. On its surface one can actually FEEL Small Bubbles. Or Bumps.PLEASE Look at the pictures.
