I found these plates at a local estate auction here in Oklahoma. They are so pretty. With the pink prim roses and the gold. They are in great condition except one plate has a chip on the underside rim. Another plate has the sign of a crack on the under rim, but I cannot feel it or see it on the top. They are all signed"M.Z. Austria" also with the number'66' in blue on the back. Six have been stamped with the number'1000' They are 5" across. Please look at all photos for accuracy. 3 Antique Butter Pats - Charming Antique Pottery (as is) - Really cute florals
My Inv. I N 2B 3 Truly Antique Butter Pats(2 have wildflowers- 1 has rose) Color of porcelain is supposed to be white but has turned a little creme coloured due to age. All have decorative raised design in the porcelain around edges that is unpainted which is consistent with antique china. It is just a raised design in the porcelain mold. Beautiful butter pats have some damage which includes crazing to the clear glaze. 1 chip on the rose pat. Which the chip itself is antique as the exposed pottery has turned black inside the chip(you can see this in my pics) 1 of the wildflower pats has no chips but the other one has a chip and a pottery shard that stuck during firing. They have a ton of charm even though they aren't perfect. They are most likely around 100 years old. Has a few light age spots and a couple of tiny ash marks which came ... morefrom the primitive firing process used during that era. If you don't know what an ash mark is. It would look like a tiny speck of black dirt under the glaze, smaller than a speck of pepper. Marked with no manufacturer's mark at all. Maybe you recognize the pattern? Found at an estate sale. Presented for auction are eight antique Limoges butter pats in excellent condition. There are no problems. The pats are 3" in diameter at the rim. Schleiger describes the pattern(factory number 21312) as having small pink roses with dark green centers. Pink and green leaves and gold daubs at the scalloped rim. The blank is#26 with design#67. They were manufactured and decorated in France by"Haviland& Co. during the period 1890-1910. Offered here for your bidding review is this set of 10 matching antique aesthetic period red and white transferware butter pats with a lovely Dutch landscape scene of a windmill! The bucolic vignette shows the whimsical building at water's edge. Framed within the branches of an apple tree bearing flowers and fruit. These butter pats measures just under 2 3/4" square. Typical and very minor factory flaws can be found on the butter pats, consistent with production practices of the times, including pitting, bubble bursts in the glaze, tiny blobs of porcelain here and there, etc. There is also some age related wear in the form of overall crazing, and there are two chips, detailed above, and visible in picture number 4 from the front side, and seen on the back side in the last two pictures. Lovely Antique Set 8+1 Ironstone BUTTER PATS, Christmas Green Transferware
Description 8+1 BUTTER PATS Lovely set of eight matching ironstone porcelain butter pats. Each measuring 3-1/4" wide. Featuring a softly scalloped border with embossed pattern, design is a dainty trailing floral and leaf in green with a fine gold border. Unmarked, several are incised"H" uncertain of the pattern name, but guessing by Johnson Brothers or similar. I'm including an additional pat that is the same color, but does not quite match. Condition on all is great- no chips. Cracks, hairlines or damage to the eight other than usage marks, a bit of difference in the green shade(some are a tad lighter) and clear crazing to the glaze- the additional pat has just a faint amount of tanning in the bowl- does not detract. Antique Vintage Collection of 25 Restaurant Hotel Ware Butter Pats Selling a large Antique/Butter Pat Collection. This is a lot which includes 25 unique restaurant ware butter pats. These vary in size and design. Marks are Shenango China. Tepco China, Stanley Hotelware, Grindley Hotelware, and one with flowers stamped on the back. Others are unmarked. All are in very good condition. Some of the butter pats have small chips on the bottoms. And one has a line 1 has along the side of the edge which does not feel like a crack, but I can't be sure. There are some typical signs of aging such as discoloration, crazing, and slight paint/glaze wear or loss. There is some tape/sticker residue on the backs of some of the butter pats which I did not try to remove. Please look at all the pictures and email me with any questions.
