This is for the nice lovely Victorian butter dish shown. There is no makers mark. I believe this is an earthenware porcelain. Excellent condition for the age with no cracks. And only one tiny flea bite chip on the center circle of the insert dish. There is some crazing and age marks- consistent with over 100 years as this is probable late 1800s and English. These dishes were used with ice under the inner plates to keep the butter cold. Normal firing and manufacturing marks. It measures 5.25" diameter by 5" high. Please judge the condition by the photos. You are looking at a Moore& Co. Butter Pat done in brown Transfer Ware. I don't know the pattern name. But it has markings on the back. It measures 3" square and has a chip in one corner(please see photos for better description) This was made some time in the 1800's. The company name is embossed on the back with with a set of number that are also embossed.
