Four items in this set(8 if you count the lids as separate items) two are stamped on the base and the other two are not but they are clearly all the same pattern and maker. We cannot read the stamp very well but it does say Hand Made Poland. The pattern is blue floral on a white ground- the shades of blue are from very deep to a lighter shade that is really pretty. All items in this set are in excellent used condition- bases on all items show light scuffing as you would expect from age and use. Dimensions: the creamer is about 6 inches tall at the top of the lid and just under 6 inches across from handle to end of the spout; the sugar bowl is about 5-1/2 inches tall and almost 7 inches across at the handles; the butter dish is about 2-1/2 inches tall and 7 inches long and 4-1/2 inches wide; and the canister is 4-1/2 inches tall and 7-12 by 4-1/2 inches in a soft rectangular shape. There is a nice glaze on this set- no chips, cracks or crazing that we have round. Very clean inside and out. It's really a beautiful grouping that could be used individually or as a set. These date from the very early 1900's. I am not sure what exactly they were used for however each measures 5 1/2" in length and 4" across. I think they were meant to be side dishes on a dinner service as there are six of them. Olives? Relish? The sides curve upwards slightly as if to hold in sauce or liquid. Each plate has a pattern of tiny blue and pink forget me not flowers. The rims are scalloped and trimmed in gold. There are no chips or cracks on any of the six. There are also no bottom marks. These plates are very rare and unusual and are hard~to~find.I purchased these from an ESTATE sale of an elderly man who traveled and collected rare. Antique and vintage items. I do NOT know a whole lot about these except they are very RARE and have"witty" sayings on them. Which I did not take time to translate. None appears to have cracks nor chips. However, they do have pottery indentations in some area from when they were made, which is common. 2 of the plates have a soft scallop like rim with same sayings. 3 of the plates have a thick dark blue rim with same sayings and the last 1 has a thinner blue edge and a different saying. This auction is for a Lovely Grouping of 6 small porcelain dishes made by and marked Delvaux Paris. There re 4 small round pieces that I believe are butter pats and 2 oval dishes that likely were designed as butter pats or salt cellars. They are all hand painted in floral designs with bright colors. All are in very good condition without any chips or cracks or damage. The back of one oval piece has minor discoloration that can't be seen from the front. The round pieces measure 3 3/8 inches across; the oval pieces are 4 3/4 inches long. Limoges china hand painted by studios in the US– circa 1909 to 1918 From 1909 to 1910 Anna had professional china decorators and had a studio in Martha's Vineyard. Massachusetts. Anna Leonard items may be found as late as ca. 1918. With a distinctive block script LEONARD VIENNA mark. Backstamp: Leonard Vienna Scalloped edge square butter pat– hand painted pink floral design Size: approx 2 5/8ths square Condition: The porcelain is beautiful and the painting is also lovely. Backstamp is in block letters in a deep cobalt blue– very strong. I thought it was perfect. But it is not. The tips of one scallop has a rough feel, so must be teeny tiny flea bit chips. Offering a rare H&Co. Haviland& Company) Limoges France butter pat. This lovely butter pat has hand painted flowers in various shades. The backstamp on this item dates it back to appx the 1880's. It's in wonderful condition. You would never guess it to be that old. Since it's made of high quality. Limoges porcelain, there's no crazing, and there's also no cracks, or chips. It does have a very, very slight roughness to the rim where it meets the table. This butter pat is not flat. It's somewhat like a tiny shallow bowl, measuring 11/16" from bottom rim to top rim. 3 3/8" Hand Painted NIPPON Floral BUTTER PAT
This is the first of a large collection of butter pats that I am going to be listing. This is a 3 3/8" hand painted Nippon with a pretty floral edge design. It is 3 3/4" when measured with the tiny handle edge. The outer edge has a soft yellow color with a thin gold rim. The gold does have wear. The back is marked Hand Painted Nippon withe a rising sun in blue. There are no chips or cracks and no crazing but again there is wear to the gold trim. If you have any questions please let me know. A beautiful antique Butter Pat depicting pink and white apple blossoms. Hand Painted. Light scalloped edge with gold trim. Unmarked. 3-1/4" in diameter No cracks. Minor crazing. There is one minor chip on the piece's edge. However. This chip occurred during the manufacturing process, prior to coloring the piece. The chip does not reveal white porcelain beneath; it is colored the same earthy tone as the area surrounding it. Hard to see at first. I've noted the location with a blue arrow.

And 1-1/8 tall with scalloped edges. Although I do not know their exact age it is obvious that they are Antique porcelain. Beautiful floral artwork with pink and wine accents to the flowers with green leaves, trim and branches. Tiny dots of white paint finish there lovely design off. Each is scalloped and they have bright color, each hand painted. One has a tiny flea mark that has been touch up and can hardly be seen. The rim is scalloped and then trimmed with a thin gold line. Quite a bit of this is missing. On the back is Hand Painted Nippon with a rising sun. The rising sun mark signifies that it is Noritake. As far as I can tell it is from the Early 1900's. The butter pat is 3 1/2" in diameter with handles like a cake plate. This is a beautiful set of 6 hand painted porcelain open salts/salt cellars. They have scalloped edges and unusual raised dots around the inside edge. They are hand painted with a violets and gold motif. They measure 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" They are unmarked so I am unsure of their origin. They could be from Japan or possibly France. The owner's mother had purchased them at an Antique Show back in 1970 so I would guess that they predate 1940. They are in very good condition. No chips or cracks. There is some slight rubbing of the gold on some edges and some brown marks on the unglazed bottoms. LIMOGES WILLIAM GUERIN 8 Porcelain Hand Painted Bowls Flowers 1920s 1930s
This exquisite set of 8 hand painted LIMOGES small bowls was made at the William Guerin& Co. Limoges porcelain works in Limoges. France. They feature various delicate center designs of floral bouquets- please see all the photographs. They were owned by Hollywood movie star MADGE EVANS and her husband. Pulitzer Prize winning playwright SIDNEY KINSLEY. The bowls measure approximately 5 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/4" high. They are all in superb undamaged condition. Except for just one bowl which has a tiny flea bite just under the rim which I have tried to show in one of the photographs. The LIMOGES mark on the bottom of each bowl was used between 1891 and 1932. And so. this set over 80 years old! The WILLIAM GUERIN& CO mark on the bottom of each bowl is applied over the glaze. According to the WickedLocal.com site, William Guerin ... moreproduced lot of"white ware, or pieces that had no decoration. They were exported mainly to the U.S. where amateur china painters and professional decorating companies bought them to add their own hand-painted designs. Some pieces, like those in my auction, have a William Guerin mark that was added over the glaze when the decorating had been done inside the porcelain works by in-house artists. The WickedLocal article concluded that"Collectors like to find these in-house decoration marks, and will pay a rather large premium over the price they might pay for a similar amateur-painted piece.
