The crock itself is probably ~ 8" across at its widest point. The dasher is ~ 26" tall. You can see from the pictures that the crock is glazed inside as well as outside. There are two blue stripes around the top half of the crock. As you can see in the pictures. There was a manufacturing mistake made on the makers stamp. It looks like I moved the camera when I took the picture. But that is actually how it was made. It is in very good shape with only one minor chip on the rim of the crock. The bold dark blue advertising is uniformly stamped and legible. There's one tiny chip or flaw on top rim but since it's partly covered in glaze it's likely a manufacture flaw. On one side there's a faint spider line beside what looks like a pencil line. Both lines whatever they are are completely under the glaze and absolutely impossible to feel. Inside of crock is flawless except for a small group of spider lines that cover approx one square inch as shown. Overall a very nice bright looking clean advertising crock for your collection. Up for your consideration is this White Hall Illinois stoneware one pound butter crock. It is in overall very good shape for its age. It has some fading to the ink inside the state logo. This is neat Antique Crock/Pottery# 4[4 gallon size] Butter Churn. I think for it's age it is in good condition but being very old it does have some chips from use and a hairline crack in the glaze on one side-see pics. This little crack does not go into the Crock. Only the glaze. I tried to get pics from all angles so that you can see exactly what you will be getting. This Churn also includes the Crock/Pottery Lid and the Wood Dasher. It is stamped# 4 in blue lettering on the Churn and also the Lid but maker is unknown. Height of Churn alone is 16" and with the Dasher height is approx 34" and measures approx 33 1/2" around the widest part. This item is very heavy and I may have to ship the Churn and the Dasher in separate boxes depending on what I can find. We have this old Redwing butter churn crock to offer in good as found condition. It is marked with the wing and Union Stoneware logo. It has wire handles. No lid and a nice 4" wing. The crock has a flaw on the bottom that looks like it was made this way. Just a hole, small. not a chip. There is a 1" crack that is on the bottom rim that is also a firing crack. Only shallow and not seen inside. This is a good Redwing Churn and is a hard to find piece. It is in good clean condition and is 16 1/2" tall. RED WING; I have bought, sold, traded and collected stoneware since 1973 and have literally owned hundreds of pieces that were bottom marked MINNESOTA STONEWARE; as for the mark being distinct and readable, this butter crock has to be in the top five of embossed MINNESOTA STONEWARE marks. This company existed in Red Wing, Minnesota from 1883-1906. The glaze indicates this butter crock was manufactured between 1895 and 1906. I have for sale an antique Louisville Potteries butter churn. From early 1900's( It is 14 inches tall. And has 9 inches diameter. The lid doesn't site quite tight. I'm not sure if it was made that way. There is a small little blob just below number"3" is wiped off clean. Antique Stoneware Butter Crock This brown& white crock is from about 1920. My grandmother had this in her house. My father was born in 1913 and remembers this crock in the kitchen when he was 7 or 8 years of age. The crock is glazed and the glaze is in very good condition. There are no cracks in this piece. The crock weighs almost 6 lbs. and is 8" tall x 8 1/2" wide. Use in your vintage style decor. This is a versatile item. Use it to store your kitchen utensils such as wooden spoons. Hello your looking at a vintage butter churn with lid. It"s in l good condition. But does have some condition issues on the inside of churn. I have noted any obvious flaws, but can't note every single little ding and detail. There are no maker marks on this churn. This stoneware butter or milk churn with what appears to be a salt glaze. It measures about 12 1/2' inches high to the top of the rim. With a diameter of about 8- 9 inches at the widest part. The rim diameter is about 7 inches outside to outside.The lid is intact. This churn weighs about 15 pounds. The inside of churn has a couple of spots to the stoneware where there are flaws or surface scrapes/shallow chips. These appear to have occurred in manufacture. Primitive Antique S P & S Co White Hall Crock 3 Gallon Butter Churn Jar Jug Read
Up for auction is a very early white hall crock churn jar. I bought it from an older man who said his grandfather used to use it to make pickles in so I know it is very old(has no smell of pickles lol) It does have a hairline crack near the top and then a couple of more serious cracks at the bottom. Please look at all pics. This is being sold with the knowledge that it does have cracks. It also has some very old tape residue on the bottom which could be cleaned up. This jug needs some tlc, the top also has a piece missing but sits in the top well. The measurements for this piece is around 14" tall and has a 8" diameter on the top. Offering a nice Antique Blue and White stoneware Salt or Butter Crock with Lid. It has a nice two-tone blue& white color on the crock and lid. With blue only on the inside. This has a raised lid, as is often with a salt box or crock. These came marked both as Salt or Butter; also unmarked, as is this one. We think the condition of the crock is good. But please check the pictures for your own determination. It does have a very fine crack on one side, running from the top, 3 in. down the side, not very noticeable; it has only one chip. A tiny flake on the top rim, probably a burst mould bubble. The lid has seen lots of use. It has chips and a fine crack; it does fit nice and tight on it's base.
