These date from the very early 1900's. I am not sure what exactly they were used for however each measures 5 1/2" in length and 4" across. I think they were meant to be side dishes on a dinner service as there are six of them. Olives? Relish? The sides curve upwards slightly as if to hold in sauce or liquid. Each plate has a pattern of tiny blue and pink forget me not flowers. The rims are scalloped and trimmed in gold. There are no chips or cracks on any of the six. There are also no bottom marks. Offering a rare H&Co. Haviland& Company) Limoges France butter pat. This lovely butter pat has hand painted flowers in various shades. The backstamp on this item dates it back to appx the 1880's. It's in wonderful condition. You would never guess it to be that old. Since it's made of high quality. Limoges porcelain, there's no crazing, and there's also no cracks, or chips. It does have a very, very slight roughness to the rim where it meets the table. This butter pat is not flat. It's somewhat like a tiny shallow bowl, measuring 11/16" from bottom rim to top rim. We think this may have been made by the Hannong family who ran the Strasbourg-Haguenau faience company between 1721-1784 before it closed. The rim is scalloped and then trimmed with a thin gold line. Quite a bit of this is missing. On the back is Hand Painted Nippon with a rising sun. The rising sun mark signifies that it is Noritake. As far as I can tell it is from the Early 1900's. The butter pat is 3 1/2" in diameter with handles like a cake plate. Antique Porcelain Open Salt Cellar Dip Bowl Hand Painted Violets & Gold Set of 6
This is a beautiful set of 6 hand painted porcelain open salts/salt cellars. They have scalloped edges and unusual raised dots around the inside edge. They are hand painted with a violets and gold motif. They measure 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" They are unmarked so I am unsure of their origin. They could be from Japan or possibly France. The owner's mother had purchased them at an Antique Show back in 1970 so I would guess that they predate 1940. They are in very good condition. No chips or cracks. There is some slight rubbing of the gold on some edges and some brown marks on the unglazed bottoms. This is an antique butter pat. The mark is very faded so can't read. It is signed Raffaello so It is hand painted. It has a mark I believe from the time it was painted as I can't feel anything that would make me think it is a crack& there are no marks on the back that would indicate a crack. There are a couple of paint flecks which is to be expected from an old hand painted piece that has been used over a long period of time.
