5 Antique Old Butter Pat Dishes Plates White Double Blue Ring Blue Bird Lot #1
Unknown Maker The closest bird I could find out of the hundreds I looked at over the internet was Knowles. Taylor, Knowles. It is not the same but pretty close match. So should blend in with one of their blue bird sets or several other makers sets. They would make nice display peices also. The dish itself has 12 edges and is not round but has 2 round blue painted rings. There were several dish shapes that were similar but I could not narrow this dish down to one of them. I am not sure of the age but I belive these to be old. Blue birds were very popular between the 1880's and late 1920's. I have no idea if these date from then. But the previous owner said she had had them from at least the 70's when she was in the height of her collecting/hoarding. 1800's Antique White Ironstone Butter Dish 3pc ENGLISH Sydenham Baltic ? COVER
Up for bids is this wonderful Antique Ironstone butter dish with cover and original insert. This piece is in amazing condition. The white is very bright and has absolutely no stains or chips on the outside bottom or lid. The insert does have some staining but even that is not terrible. There is a extremely tight hairline on the liner. Other than that the only thing to mention is as made glaze skip and a few pottery pops. This happened at the factory and is not post damage but mentioned for accuracy. This piece is heavily embossed and has a great finial. I'm not sure what the finial is. This is either a butter pat or a cup plate. It is in pristine condition with no chips. No cracks, no hairlines, no nibbles, no fleabites, etc. It measures 3 1/2 inches in diameter. I see no scratches on the shiny surface so I don't think it was ever used. It's clearly marked on the back with"Kenelworth" and"Priory. There are stilt marks on the back + a couple of glaze bubbles. One of which has burst so it's the size of a pin head. All of that was in the making, however, so it's not damage. You won't be disappointed. C.1852-1873 Antique Edward Pearson, Cobridge White Ironstone Dish/ Butter Pat -
Just found this neat OLD ironstone butter pat/dish by Edward Pearson. Cobridge. It dates somewhere between 1852-1873. I would say the latter part because the ironstone does have a raised. Embossed pattern and that did not start happening until later. In good condition. As shown in the pictures. There are no cracks or real discoloration. Some imperfections that are the way it was made. Measures approx. 4 1/8" in diameter. Great piece of old. Antique, English ironstone. Please check out my pictures carefully as they are part of the description. All four are thick, solid white in color and 3" in diameter. There are no chips. Breaks, cracks or fleabites present on any of them. Antique, Aesthetic Blue & White Transferware Square Butter Pat w. Pine Cones
One of the sharpest designs with the center design surrounded entirely with decorations. The white is very white with no staining from butter and the blue is strong& not faded. It measures 2 1/2 inches square where most butter pats are round. No chips. No scratches, no fleabites, no hairlines. The surface is shiny& bright with the usual light crazing which isn't seen unless under very bright light. The usual 3 stilt marks from manufacturing are hidden in the design so you won't see them. You won't be disappointed with this gem. Of course we accept returns should this treasure not be as described. We still believe that. The Customer is Always Right.
