Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of pine and is currently painted. The top has a full arch and the glass section follow this curve. There is no glass currently. There are three raised panels below. The front and back look the same. All of the hardware needs to be replaced. It measures 34 inches wide by 93.5 inches tall and is 1.75 inches thick. Overall it is in decent co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. Being offered are 4 Antique Architectural Salvaage Rosette- Plinth Blocks. Three of the blocks measure approximately 5 ½” X 5 7/16th” and 1 1/8th inches deep. The other measures 5 1/2” X 5” and 1 1/8th inch deep. All appear to be made of a some type of fur wood and stained brown. All have what appear to be the original patina. All are in vintage/antique condition. Each have nail holes. Some filled some not, hammer marks, dents, dings and a couple have white paint marks. One looks like an attempt was made to re-stain over the top of the old stain. Due to these plinth block being made of a fur wood and stained brown, they were possibly made for a second or third floor of an old house. But that is unknown. As far as their age. This is an original over sized carriage house door. The size is is 94 1/2 by 46 inches wide and 2 inches thick. The wood is in very good condition. No splitting or any issues. It is coming off a carriage house that was built in 1890. The stain glass is not original. It was commissioned by the editor of the Philadelphia Inquirer society page. She seem to have really liked Poppies, as I have more poppy stain glass around the house. Thinking that a poppy lover might just think this is the best door ever. There is a tiny split in one pane of the glass, I didn't notice until someone trying to buy it told me. I would think unless you love poppies that you would change out the glass, but again i really don't know this world. None the less the door is definitely an antique in good condition and well built. The top has a huge glass opening(no glass currently) with 4 raised panels below. The fronts and backs look the same. Most of the hardware will need to be replaced. It measures 42 inches wide by 83.5 inches tall. It is 2 inches thick. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as well as light cracks as it is antique. FOR AUCTION Old Antique Architectural Salvage* 99 START NO RESERVE* On offer is this gorgeous old antique carved wood architectural salvage piece of English Oak in original old dark finish. You can see. And we've tried to photograph this, where the carving tool was used on the panel. There are 2 game birds in this motif. A game bird is hanging and is carved in deep relief with molding around it and molded again around the outside giving it a framed appearance. In the crook of the wing of one game bird is a baby bird or smaller bird. On the verso, it has a hook for hanging. Beautiful and interesting. This piece was probably part of a larger furniture or installation piece. The decoration implies this came from something to do with the hunt, a hunt board or hearth piece. Gorgeous. This panel spent many years in service and was made available ... moreto us recently as part of an estates auction which contained many other 18th and 19th century highly carved and decorated furniture pieces. There is some superficial age cracking from the shrinking of the wood over the years and what appears loss around the foot of the bird but this does not detract from the beauty, quality and stateliness of this piece. Had we not purchased this for resale, I'd have this hanging in my home today. We will be listing the other piece which is a match to this but the frame needs to be re-tacked in to place as it slipped away from the panel whilst intransit from the auction to our home. This is a Vintage/Antique Salvage Architectural Solid SWINGING DOOR with Hinges. Latch and Screws. Gorgeous wood grain with ornate design. It is a medium to dark colored wood, but it shows up lighter in the pictures with flash(had to use flash to show wood grain. Measures 32 1/2" tall x 19 3/4" wide x 1 1/16" thick. Lean it against a wall for instant architectural detail in any setting. Chippy old paint- Original paint looks like a light bluish gray with some white under it. Can also see the natural wood. Crinkle/ alligator texture.
