The last photos shows the arched wall where these were discovered and what they looked like when we demolished the arch and were able to move the doors into position and see them for the first time. We do know that the 3/16" veneer on the interior side of each door is Quarter Sawn Oak. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" 3/16" thick and provide strength and stability to each door.
