Antique Oak Partition Counter room divider with double hinged door
Oak Partition came from a court house has a swinging door with a door that could open from either direction. Circa 1910. The measurements overall of this entire divider are 88 ½” long by 43” high on the stationary end and 38” high is the swinging door. The depth of the top ledge on both halves is 6 ½” deep. The stationary section is 43” high and 52 ½” long The swinging door portion is 26” wide and 38” high. Nebraska residents pay 7% sales tax. Penn Antique Restoration. 48"x 94" Pair Antique Exterior Oak Doors w/ Large Glass Lites. Gorgeous pair of antique. Exterior doors, salvaged from a historic home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each door is made of solid oak and has 1 large glass lite. If you are wondering why the doors are so thick: they are made of"double laminate" construction. Which is essentially 2 doors put together to form 1 door. This not only makes the doors stronger, and more secure, but also, better for insulation and increases their resistance towards warping. Hardware: The doors are currently not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store and tons more in our physical store. There is a chip missing from the edge of the hinge stile. The edge of the lock stile is chipped. The bottom of the lock stile is chipped. The panels below the glass are chipped and cracked. There is a loose strip of wood on the top of the lock stile. There are chips missing form the side of he lock housing. The molding below the glass is missing. On the other door, there is a dent in the wood on the hinge stile. A break in the astragal. The molding below the glass is loose and the other side of the door is missing the bottom piece of molding. Each door has a solid pine core covered with 1/4" thick red oak veneers. Please don't think"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern furniture to disguise the inferior materials underneath; these veneers are very thick and help strengthen and stabilize the door. As well as protect it against warping. Solid oak doors would've warped a long time ago. The doors have 6 panels on each side: 2 square on top. 2 long, rectangular in the middle, and 2 square on bottom. On the front side, the panels have beautifully- carved, Gothic quadrafoils and ogee arches. On the back side, the panels are raised. Hardware: Besides the ... moremail door and cover. Description This is a great set that was salvaged from a Philadelphia. PA Victorian home. They are made of oak and are unpainted. They are heavily varnished and very dark. Each has 5 raised panels at the bottom and a panel of glass at the top. One piece is flat and the other is beveled. The fronts and backs look pretty much the same. There is an awesome Gothic face plate but most of the hardware needs replacing. They measure 48 inches wide by 84 inches tall. They are 2 inches thick. Overall. They are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a scrubbing but should clean up nicely. There is a deadbolt hole and a mailslot.
