The door has a solid oak core covered with 3/16" thick, white oak veneers. The door has a light stain and worn finish on all sides. There are 2, long, vertical, recessed panels on both sides of the door. Also, please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are almost 1/4" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. The door could be sanded and refinished several times before the door would need to be re-veneered. Hardware: Although the photos show some hardware installed; the door doesn't come equipped with any hardware. However.
