Penn Antique Restoration. 30.5"x89" Antique Arched Door w/4 Raised Panels(3" THICK! Grand. Antique, pocket door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid, old pine and is painted white one side and finished on the other. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door has 5. Raised, ... morehorizontal panels with lovely, stepped molding contouring the inner edges of each panel. Quirks& Considerations: The previous owner added hinges and a rim lock. And used the door as a standard, swinging door for one of the apartments in his building. We could plug the holes and add the missing piece of edge molding where the rim lock was housed- email us for a quote. The door has a solid oak core covered with 1/16" thick red oak veneers. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Oak is a very dense wood and the door would've warped long ago if it weren't for its veneers. Two Lanes Pocket Parlor Hanger Door Rollers barn sliding Hardware loft
Offered are these two lanes parlor door hangers. There is still some of the marking still visible on one and I have shown this in the pictures. I don't really know anything about these. They were something I purchased for a barn door and they didn't work on the set-up I already and so I'm moving them along. They are very rust it I believe still very function. The adjustment screws need a little WD 40 but I didn't want to do that before mailing them. They have pat. Dates of 1890 and 1891. Large Antique Wooden Victorian Pocket Door with Hardware
Up I have this beautiful old pocket door from an old shore Victorian house. I had bought it recently at a moving sale. The woman had two. One was painted brown and this one was clearly on it's way to being refinished as it looks as if is was stripped. It measures 82"t x 32"w x 2" deep. I had to buy it on a whim not sure if it would work for the project I was thinking and it turned out to be too tall. So, I thought maybe someone has an old house they are restoring and would like an authentic door? It just requires some fine sanding and is almost ready to finish. The deatil is beautiful. Just know it is not yellowy like some of the pics show. Due to lighting in my garage. If you would like to see it, you may of course too. An extraordinary antique pocket door. Circa 1900, with amazing American stained glass. The door's glass pane features an abstract design in a playful variety of stained, ripple and granite glass. The central medallion is composed of ripple glass in clear, amber, green and blue hues and is anchored by a red rectangular frame. The clear granite background is framed by a double border of clear ripple and red glass; two rows of sun-purple diamonds line the piece at top and bottom. Vintage c1930 Pocket Door 32” Divided Light Walnut Merchandise Mart Chicago Salv
I have four of these amazing true divided light pocket doors constructed of what is either walnut or birch. All glass is original and undamaged. These doors are structurally sound have have grooves for a track on the bottoms. Each door features the original steel flush pulls which have patinaed to a nice rusty finish. I basically cleaned them and then hit the wood with a restore product which made the wood glow. Each one measures 32”w x 76”h x 1” thick. These were salvaged from a showroom in Chicago’s own Merchandise Mart building which was completed in 1930 and we believe they were original to the building. Own a little piece of Chicago history!
