Antique Pediment Circa 1895 Grafton, WV Architectural Decor Doors
Up for bid. A Circa 1895, solid poplar Antique Pediment from a Grafton, West Virginia. This Pediment has imperfections from age. Its patina is all original. It has not been cleaned. It has, on the back, scuff marks from where the nails were cut off and ground down. This was done as to not disturb the appearance on its face. Please review all photos before bidding. Antique Victorian Interior Door- Circa 1895 Butternut Ornate Four Panel. The dimensions are 29 7/8" x 83 1/2" x 1 3/8" thick. This is a very special door as it is two sided- the Formal side is very ornate with applied moldings at the panels. And the Informal side is of a simple square edge at the panels(see pictures) This is a great looking complete door with a beautiful aged shellac(varnish) finish on both sides. There are some normal scratches and wear in some areas, but overall the door is very nice. We do have the complete set of interior doors from this building(Formal doors. Informal doors, and Formal Pocket Doors) so please check our other listings if you are looking for multiple matching doors. The grain and finished patina is absolutely beautiful and is truly unique(some refer to it as white walnut) These qualities make any butternut woodwork architectural salvage a truly one of a kind piece! Solid wood doors circa 1895
3 solid wood doors dating back to at least 1895 when the house was first built. I am not sure but most likely they are made of pine. I have 3 or 4 doors available. Picture is of a door in my house but the others are the same. Doors measure 82" x 31.5" Hardware is not included just for the picture. Asking $200 per door. Antique Victorian Interior Double Doors- Circa 1895 Fir Stained Finish Five Panel. The dimensions are 60" x 82" x 1 3/8" thick. This is a great looking complete double door set with a beautiful aged shellac(varnish) patina and finish. Set of Antique Victorian Pocket Doors-Circa 1895 Butternut Painted Finish Five Panel. The dimensions are 66" x 95" x 2 1/8" thick. These are great looking complete doors with a painted white finish with a beautiful patina. The ends mate properly. Therefore there is no warping. The paint appears to be only one layer thick, so stripping and re-finishing to reveal the butternut wood would be easily done. They are in Great condition with a beautiful old patina and are ready for display. Use or restoration. Please refer to the pictures and feel free to email with any questions.
