The door has a solid, pine core covered with 1/16" thick, birch veneers. Also, please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are almost 1/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Also note that chestnut is a rare and valuable wood; it’s not commercially available due to the blight introduced between 1900& 1908. Which made the North American chestnut trees virtually extinct by 1940. The door is finished on both sides. But there are spots and patches of paint ... morehere and there. There are 5, horizontal, recessed panels on both sides of the door. Hardware:  The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. W e  have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store. Circa 1900. All from the same house, I have five, recessed panel doors. Very nice condition, painted. I do not know the wood species, these may be heartpine or fir if I had to guess. They are not all the same dimensions, minor variations. I have a couple closet doors too. These have some of the original hardware, but no doorknobs. Not all of the doors are pictured. Pickup only.

Heisey Flat Recessed Panel 9.5" Serving Bowl
I am not sure but believe this serving bowl is in the flat recessed panel pattern by Heisey. The bowl is nearly 9-1/2 inches in diameter and about 3-1/2 inches tall. It weighs nearly 2-1/2 pounds. The flat bottom appears to be polished and has a star pattern. There is one 1/4 inch chip on the outside of the upper rim and a small fleabite on the inner rim noticeable only by feel. The polished glass bottom shows mild signs of wear. But the bowl is otherwise in very good condition. It is marked on the bottom with the Heisey Diamond"H" Please also view the several other pieces of Heisey glass that we are listing. We will be happy to combine shipping on two or more items.

My eBay name says it all.liquidators. I was an eBay seller back in 2000 and I sold to meet a financial goal. Life has a way of taking over such that when my goal was hit my inventory just sat in storage. Well. I have to admit not only did it sit but over the years I have added to it. Due to my fiancé in all likelihood having to move overseas due to work in 2015 and me tagging along I HAVE TO liquidate my inventory. And yes, I have that much that I need to start now. It has a solid Douglas Fir core covered with 1/8" veneers, which we believe are cherry, but it is difficult to tell because the door is painted. There are 5 recessed panels on each side. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit any of these doors(check out our eBay store) If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood.
