Vintage Sliding Fire Door & Hardware Commercial Factory Antique Barn Door
1930's fire door 2-1/2" thick 68" wide 92" high on tall side 88" tall on short side. Manufactured by Willis in Galesburg IL. Around the 1930's UL Tags on the door. There is a counter weight attached by a rope to a pulley system that allows the very heavy door to slide open and closed with very little effort. In the event of a fire the rope burns off and the counter weights fall to the floor and the door will automatically slide closed. For sale locally so auction may end at any time if sold. Fire Door was removed from the old Stockport School in Stockport Ohio. The School was built in 1905. This door is 2 3/8" thick. 88" tall. 44" wide. The Strap hinges attached to the door are 3/8" thick 2 1/2" wide and 36" long. There are several coats of paint that cover the embossed label. Also has an Underwriter Laboratories tag. All hardware goes with the door. 3) 3/4 x 14" bolts for door latch. 3) 3/4" pins for hinge. 3) 3/4 x 14" bolts for hinge pins. three pulleys. Antique Sliding Fire Door With Hardware Victor Mfg
This is a Victor Mfg. sliding fire door that was salvaged from a textile manufacturing mill in North Carolina that was demolished. The measurements are 46" X 8'10"center of door) plus 10" for the pulleys. This door includes the pulleys which are attached. The rail(approx. 12' and 3 cast iron spacers that fit behind the rail to hold if off the wall( 2" The plate on the door has a date of 1935 on it. The mill it came from was built at the turn of the century. I can skid this and ship via UPS freight for a reasonable amount business to business or the closest UPS Freight terminal to you. Here's a wonderful Richards Wilcox MFG Aurora Ill tin clad fireproof industrial factory door. Measures 83" tall by 52" wide by 2.5" thick. Does not come on rollers. But they can be added easily. Has some large bolts on the back for the way it was originally mounted at the michigan factory where it was purchased years ago. This is a wonderful focal point in a room and can be repurposed into anything your mind imagines. Door weighs roughly 350+ lbs. Two extremely strong gentleman were kind enough to move it for me. Vintage Warehouse Fire Door REDUCED!
This is a Vintage Warehouse Fire Door taken down from an old warehouse before it was demolished that was built in 1932. All the parts were saved. You will only need new mounting bolts as we had to cut the original bolts to get them down. The original weights that hold the door open are included. Even the 160 degree melt down fuse that attaches to the rope is here. The"Richmond Tin Clad" and"UL Laboratories" stamps are there but wont show up very well in the pics I took. But you can see on the hardware it's a Richmond Model A20. This door is very heavy. I estimate around 400 lbs so it's only available for local pickup in Morristown Tennessee. I will be willing to deliver within 100 miles for a fee and long as you have a way to unload it from a flatbed truck. Track, spacers to hold the track off of the wall, and the pulley that would have held the counter weight via cable. The door is taller on one side than the other because it was meant to roll downhill and shut automatically if there was a fire. The counter weight would have made it easier to open back up to its original position(original counter weight not included, but I do have some other weights if you're interested) It is constructed of all metal parts. You can see that the handles say"Saino" on them and the nameplate, though painted over and hard to read, says"Saino Manufacturing Company Memphis Tenn" and it also has the an"Underwriters ... moreLaboratories" plate as well. The paint could be easily removed from the plates to really make them pop.
