The door has a solid hardwood core covered with 1/8" thick birch veneers. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. The door could be sanded and refinished several times before the door would need to be re-veneered. There are 2. Long, vertical, recessed panels on both sides of the door. We acquired the door with the mirror broken. We removed the remaining glass to reveal the beautiful, unstained birch wood on the interior side of the door. Antique EAPG Optic Panel Vertical Colonial Rib Oil Lamp 10 1/2" Tall
Normal 0 Up for auction is an Antique Ribbed Base. Clear Glass Font Oil Lamp. Normal 0 The pattern is Optic Panel Vertical Colonial Rib. Great overall condition. No chips or cracks to the glass. It measures 10 ½ inches tall, with a 6" diameter base. It has an old brass burner in good condition This lamp was sitting on the shelf of an 1850 home that I bought in 1975. The interior hadn’t been touched since about 1910. A couple of oil lamps. Chamber pots, bowls and pitchers were neatly lined up on the shelf. I’m thinking that this lamp was used in the late 1800’s, if I had to guess. Anyway, I guarantee that this is an old, original oil lamp. Please ask questions before bidding. No returns.
