Each door has a raised panel at the top and 3 raised panels at the bottom. There are matching stained glass panels. Each has 5 jewels. The transom has a coordinating panel of stained glass with 4 jewels. The doors measure 43.25 wide together. The transom being 43. The doors are 89.25 inches tall. The transom is 15.75 tall. The doors are just under 2 inches thick and the transom is 1.75. Overall they are in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. Antique Architectural French doors with transom, side lights
This French Door Unit was located in the St.Mary of the Barrens Seminary. Perryville, MO. The building was constructed in 1925. This building was torn down about 15 years ago. The Door Unit has been stored in a heated and air conditioned walkout basement. The unit has a light varnish finish on all the wood(exposed) no glass is broken. This deal includes all windows and doors pictured, also all casings and jam mouldings. The hinges and handles are also included. This unit was originally installed on the interior of a large seminary building hall, leading to the library. The surface looks to be birch overlaying a pine secondary wood. The casing and moulding is solid birch. The jams are pine and in good order, ready to install into your rough opening! Doors measure approximately 30" X 94" each. Description This is an amazing piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. Everything is made of 1/4 sawn oak and is unpainted. There are double entrance doors with stained glass at the top and raised panels below. To either side are sidelites. There are 3 transoms; one above the doors and one above the sidelite. There are 7 pieces total. Great patterns. Colors, and jewels. You are buying the entire set. It is rare to find one so complete. The side transoms are each 12 x 16.5 tall. The center transom is 16.5 x 60. The doors are 59.5 wide and 82.75 tall. They are 2 inches thick. The sidelites are each 12 x 47. Overall it is in good condition.
