The door is made of solid Pine and features 4 raised panels on each side. When most people hear"pine" they think of a cheap. Weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. This old Victorian door in the Eastlake Style has been stripped of all paint and is ready to finish in any way you want. It is constructed of heart pine and is in very nice vintage condition and bears the original porcelain knob and escutcheon plate. It measures 33 ¾”w x 87 ½”h x 2” thick. Opening for glass 22” w x 46 1/2”h. It features carved bullseye and scalloped detail on one side(lower left bullseye has some damage- see last photo) and raised panels on the other. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of pine and is currently painted. There are two panes of glass at the top and two raised panels at the bottom. The front has ornate moldings and Eastlake beveled edges around the glass and panels. There is fluting below the glass. The raised panels are fluted with carved flowers in the middle. The back side is less ornate. It measures 32 inches wide by just under 82 inches tall and is 2 inches thick. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. All of the hardware will need to be replaced. There is some slight joint separation. The upper hinge was recut. Please look at the pictures carefully.
