Here is a Pair of Antique or Vintage Brass Wall Sconces Lights With Crystal Hanging Prisms. Each one of these has two arms on them with white candlecovers. These will need to be rewired as I wouldn't want to trust the wiring that is in them. These have a nice patina on them. One of them has some paint around the base of it and some up on the arm also, which I am sure would come off with some scrubbing. These will need a good cleaning, all I did was knock the top layer of dust off. There is some very, very light corrosion in a few spots but this isn't bad at all. One matched pair of vintage ornate candlestick electric sconces with original bronze finish and paint. Looks to be cast iron. Highly detailed and in fantastic condition. Very delicate working pull chain switch on both units still functions. Includes orange flame bulbs. Cloth covered wire is still in like new condition and is not bare or cracked but may need to be upgraded to be safe. Slight paint remains on edges of lamps where they meet the wall in cream and light green. No scratching or chipping. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL! Each unit measures 10 inches long. Width is over 5 inches and extends into the room over 6 inches. I love these but I own a 1970's ranch home!

For your consideration is this great vintage pair of porch light sconces in great condition. This wonderful pair of lights is made of cast aluminum and beautifully detailed casting. Note the hammer marks and detail on the axe and hanger. This pair of lights measure 14" tall by 5 1/4" wide and stand out from the wall 7 1/2" The sconces have their original textured glass shades. One of the shades does have three chips around the fitter mouth, it does not affect them holding in the fitter and does not show when the sconces are together. This pair of sconces is typical for Lion in that you are immediately struck by their beauty. They are cast brass(of course) and feature oval mirrors. Beveled. The silvering on the mirrors is eroded a bit. And I don’t know if this was a deliberate on the part of Lion(their fixtures looked antique the day the left the factory) or is age-related. No matter, the effect is, I think, attractive. Poised delicately in front of the mirrors are two very charming flowers. Lovely. Surrounding the mirrors are rich designs in deep relief. There are crystal drops hanging from each bobeche. And a sweet amber drop in the center. The bulbs shown were the typical for the 1920s. Another wonderful aspect of the chandelier is how totally original it is(see second image) Except for the new cloth wiring and sockets. Everything you see(including the glass finial, chain, and canopy) was there when the fixture left the factory! A HISTORICAL ANOMALY As you can see in the original Markel catalog image(see second image) The sconces listed here(see last three images) do not precisely match those in the catalog. They also have a Globe sticker(not Markel) Yes, this is very curious, indeed! The shades are clearly the same but the brass back-plate is different. My assumption is that Globe either sold their design to the much larger Markel Company(or Markel simply stole the design) which then redesigned the back-plate. Or, who knows what happened? Nonetheless, the sconces are unquestionably a match to the chandelier although the shade on the chandelier is shiny while the sconce shades are frosted. ABOUT THE 1940s: Just after WW II. Pair Antique Cast Iron Art Deco 1930's Vintage Outdoor Sconces Old Wall Lights
This huge pair of cast iron Art Deco sconces came from the same estate as all the other sconces we have listed this week. This pair must have come off of a commercial building such as a bank or a factory. Certainly were used on the exterior of an old commercial building. These heavy cast iron sconces have some of the best Art Deco lines of any you will find. The sconces are in generally good condition. The flat black paint as it is in really good condition so probably recent and they have no breaks, cracks or repairs. Although the one is missing its socket and the jar type adapter which I assume was to screw the shade to, it would be easy to replace with just a socket and then place the shade in the 6" fitter. You will see holes in the sides of the fitter however they have no threads. You could probably tap them for threads to put set ... morescrews to hold the shades however not really necessary as the round shade would certainly fit nicely into the fitter. These old sconces are incredible size wise. Each one measures about 13 1/2" tall with the flat sided roundish part being a good 3 1/4" diameter. The metal appears to be either bronze or brass. They have ornate openwork with a brass plate attached to the back that has a reddish, crackled, finish on the front(it shows through the openwork on the back of the sconce, see photo) The finish appears to be original and so do the cardboard candle covers(the covers have a lot of wear) They both have an on/off switch that appears to be working(it clicks when you turn it) Each sconce measures approximately 12 1/4" high x 9 1/4" across(end of arm, to end of arm) x about 4 7/8" across the back plate that mounts to the wall. Pair of Vintage Antique Wall Sconces Lantern Light Lamp Metal Aluminum
Here is a great vintage antique pair of wall sconce lanterns. They are some type of metal but not cast iron as they are non magnetic. The lamps themselves are a bit heavy. But I believe that is due more to the thick lantern lenses than the metal which feels rather light and I believe may be aluminum. They are very weathered, but not rusty. These sconces have a nice scallop design on both the top and bottom of the lantern. The glass in both is in great shape with no cracks or chips. They have a great patina to them and a nice old look. The sconces measure about 9 1/2" tall and about 5 1/4" in diameter. The wall mounting plate measures 4 3/8" in diameter. Wiring is in place, but you may want to rewire.
