I had a box of unused older sockets that has the string type pull so the socket was a perfect companion to the fixture since the canopy piece does have an opening hole for the string to come through) The sockets shown in the last photo are not included with the auction listing. The acorn at the end of the glass is cast aluminum. It uses a standard size bulb. I don't know if it works. I have no way of testing it. It's in good used condition. No cracks. Chips, or breaks. One very tiny chip on the globe edge that goes into the fixture, hardly noticeable. Some surface rust on the metal, paint worn/faded. Globe has scuffs and marks. Looks like a new socket has been put into it. Has the original screws that hold the globe on. It measures 12" long. This fixture has a great revival look. features removable slag glass panels. They were originally installed via 2 L-brackets. So that they could slide in. Now, the bottom brackets are still there, but the top brackets have eroded away, or they were possibly cut out so that the glass could be removed. This is all the original glass that came with the fixture. The only way I could figure out how to properly hold the glass in, was to use velcro on the top side. Believe it or not, it works pretty well! I took a photo showing the little velcro tabs. Obviously you could remove those tabs if you wanted to use a different method. The glass panels will be removing during ... moreshipping. Otherwise. The glass is free of any chips or cracks. The fixture is very old and vintage, and has a few areas that are weathered& have small splits(near the bottom finial part) The paint isn't in the best condition but has the weathered appeal. The base is cast iron; the other part of the fixture(the fram part where the glass goes) is not cast iron, it's some sort of painted metal. The entire fixture is heavy and solid, weighing in at about 5 ounds. The fixture has a new porcelain socket& brand new wiring. It's in excellent workding condition! The entire fixture measures 12" long by approximately 6" wide. The glass has a green swirl design but when lit. It almost looks yellow. Vintage 50's Outside Porch Light Fixture
This is truly a treasure! My building is being rennovated and this 1950's porch light fixture came off the front of the building. And. It still works! The building was built in the late 50's and the light is original from then. I left the petina and condition as is because it gives character to the piece.The gold nuts are to keep the top on since they were missing. The glass is beveled and slides up and down for removal. The top is a bit crooked but this too adds to the beauty of it. Great Vintage Antique Pair Tudor Bungalow Porch Light Sconces Amber Glass
For your consideration is this magnificent pair of antique Tudor style porch lights. This pair of copper lights was made between 1915 to 1920. Note the wonderful detailing on the lights. And the great hanger style backplates. The lights measure 14 1/2" tall by 7 1/2" across and stand out from the wall 10 1/2" The access doors are on the side and both working well, with latches that hold well. The textured amber glass is original and in good condition, no cracks or broken panes. The sockets are porcelain and take standard Edison base light bulbs. The wonderful aged finish is natural, but been given a clear coat to protect and enhance the lights. Vintage, Arts & Crafts - English Tudor, Chunk Glass Porch Light - Lamp - Sconce
Restored. Vintage, chunk glass, 6 sided porch lamp/sconce, newly painted in Charleston Green. Light has been rewired to current electrical code, with ground wire. Surface has a hammered look to it. 14" tall and projects 10" Probably from the 30's. Very solidly built and has great presence. If you're artistic, or at least adventurous, you could paint the back of the glass various colors and make a stunning faux stained glass lamp. Please email with any questions. Vintage copper art nouveau craftsman style porch light
For sale is a vintage copper craftsman style exterior porch light. It measures about 16 inches tall and about 6 inches wide at the widest part and has a great antique patina. It has four panels of a heavy textured glass that is in excellent condition without any chips or cracks. This item needs to be refurbished since I did not check the wiring and it does not have a canopy to attach it to ceiling. What you see in the pictures is what you are getting. I HAVE MORE: If you need more just type the amount needed into QUANTITY(just above the Buy It Now button) THE BACK STORY: The sconce was made by a company in Topeka. Kansas. Remember ... morethat far far away time when things were made in the USA? Anyway. The company closed in the 1960s. At the liquidation sale, a man purchased thousands of still-in-the-box lights and stored them in the massive attic of his business. Most are still there. You can imagine my excitement discovering this Aladdin’s cave of treasure! Anyway, I purchased a bunch. But there’s a lot more. The sconce has stamped brass fittings with a lacquer finish. The globe is beautifully molded. And leaves dramatic shadows on the wall(see last image) You can see the obvious Eames-era shaping of the brass. The sconce was intended for a covered porch but would also look very good indoors. The sconce is. Of course, in near-mint condition. DETAILS: The fixture accepts one standard base 60W bulb. COLOR: Brass. Clear glass. SIZE: The sconce is about 9-inches high. The back-plate is about 4-3/4-inches across. The sconce projects 6-inches. The globe is a little over 5-inches wide. CONDITION: I love writing this: there’s no damage. The brass shows some very subtle age spotting. I stress how subtle this is. And is only obvious up very close. Vintage Antique rare Mid Century Imperialites Retro Porch Light Fixture nice
vintage antique porch light by Imperialites.sticker still on back with model number.C-85487.also says Underwriter Laboratories Inc Electric Fixture Imperialites this is a great old light fixture.its very heavy.you can see the last pic with just the weight of the glass by itself.Im not sure of the type of metal.it has a brushed finish with small black triangular indents.some of which have faded or lost color from being out in the elements.or have dirt on them.very easy to restore.theres a bit of black paint missing around the edges also.that is the extent of any damage. the glass is very thick and has spikes going down each side with beveled panels and a scalloped shape bottom edge.it is in mint condition.and held in place by 3 screws.easily detaches. the top knob unscrews.also holds the light bulb socket in place which is still there and ... morelooks nice.appears to be ceramic. there are some wires still showing thru the back.I do not know if this is in working condition but I would suggest replacing the wires for safety reasons due to its age this needs to be cleaned.there is some dirt residue still present from being outside this looks much better in person than in the photos.which makes it look really horrible.its just a little dirty on the top compared to the back plate, 8" in overall height including top knob top piece measures 5.5x5.5" square the glass globe is a bit smaller below it and when in place is 4.5" tall bottom of glass measures 3.5x3.5" square top knob is 2-3/8" tall overall 6.25" deep including back plate any questions.please email Powered by The free listing tool. These quality fixtures have cast brass bases and copper tops with an original matte black paint finish. The two back hinges at the back of both fixtures are inoperable however the brass thumb screw in front securely holds the lid on each base(see photos) All glass is intact and unbroken and will be packed separately and shipped in the same package as the fixtures. This crusty 50+ year old survivor is freshly removed from an old porch in Michigan and needs TLC. The lantern measures an impressive 16” tall(add 5” for the massive link chain) x 8” square near the top x 4” square near the base and has wrought twist corner elements and wrought floral topper. The glass is a rare olive amber crackle blown into an iron mesh. I see no breaks in the glass and it has no wiring. It is obviously rusty under a later coat of black paint: I see no rust-through. Vintage Craftsman / Arts Crafts / Cottage / copper porch light
Talk about a barn find. this incredibly cool fixture/ craftsman porch light has been sitting in a dusty box in my garage for two decades. I remember buying it for a previous home of mine but never got around to installing it. It is in original condition. All the way down to the fantastic patina. The material is hand hammered copper and believe it or not all of the slag glass panels(5 total) are original and uncracked. The fixture measures 10.5 inches from the bottom to the tip of the final and it sticks out 6 inches from the wall. There's no reserve on this fixture- I hate to see her go but I know someone will dig it and it will get used on a cool home. So bid knowing it's going to a new home. I'll let the pictures sell this great fixture. I have not tried to clean it or even wipe it down. that's how much I respect the finish ... moreon this old gem. If I were installing it. I'd consider re-wiring it but that's your call. It's a simple thing to do and light sockets are less than $5 at Home Depot or any hardware store. Nice looking vintage lamp. Has a little paint on rim. Signs of wear but sits straight and no damage. Glass globe inside has a little chipping on one spot where it meets the housing.
