It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. Offered is a wonderful set of Vintage Mid Century Cast or Wrought Iron Wall Sconce Candle Lights. Each sconce measures approx. 21” tall from top to bottom. The decorative star on top is approx. 7” by 7” The overall width is approx. 10” to 11” at the arms. Both sconces are in good vintage condition with no breaks in the ironwork. The sconce pictured on the right is missing one of the wooden drip bowls. The other bowl will screw off if desired. A large candle could still be attached directly to the screw. The sconce is a combination of ornate wrought iron and wood. The sconce features a 3 light design with each light having a large, hand blown glass shade. The shades are tall and free form with numerous folds. The glass is crackle with deep and rough texture. The wood is gorgeous with a notched cut pattern. Each light sconce is enhanced with a connecting chain below each sconce. The fixture is old with each light having an individual on/off switch. Featuring a hammered texture this wall sconce fixture set consists of two smaller sconces on either side of a larger sconce. Sconces appear to have been modified with electrical wiring and vintage electric candles. Electric candles have also been decorated with wax to resemble a candle with wax dripping down the side. Very detailed pattern, measuring 11" x 8 1/2" at the longest and widest points. Fits a standard candlestick. Came from our family estate in Brooklyn NY and date to the late 1800s, early 1900s. Original mounting hardware and glass chimneys cannot be found but a replacement should be easily obtained from any home improvement store. Designed to fit into a socket type cylinder mount that allows it to swivel once mounted. Beautiful workmanship! Mint condition, only tiny flecks of rust inside the holder. This antique sconce is beautifully hand crafted and constructed. It features ornately curved/scrolled wrought iron on the top, the bottom finial, and under each candle holder cup. The candle holders are attached to a large metal plate. The plate attaches to a large(antique) wooden beam. The piece is old and there are no screws used, everything is attached to the wood with nails. The 5 candle cups are very nicely designed with gothic/mission"spade" pattern. I believe the angel slaying the dragon would be Michael. The dragon represents Satan. Finely crafted and rich with detail. Solid cast iron with a bronze finish. Structurally sound. This large wall sconce is in good condition with some mild to moderate surface wear and rust. Most of the rust can be seen on the back side and along the tops of where the light fixtures should be. This sconce will have to be wired and the fixtures will have to be added. This is the original patina. I haven't attempted ... moreto clean it or touch it up in any way. Please note: Black& Grayish areas on wall sconce is not two colors or fading. Just dusty of which I have cleaned. Just forgot to wipe it down before taking pics. Here’s another blast from the past during the Gothic Revival style in home décor during the 1960’s and early 1970’s. This Wall Sconce is made out of metal or what was called Pot Metal back in the day and painted over to look like wrought iron. However. This one may be painted cast aluminum. It has a flat satin paint finish and was a less expensive way to get the look one was after without the expense of genuine wrought iron, plus it’s also light weight when hanging on the wall so if it came crashing down it wouldn’t do very much damage to the wall or whatever lied beneath. There is no makers mark on the back. But it does come with a ruby red diamond pattern hobnail glass ... morevotive candle holder which glows beautifully when a candle is lit. The glass votive still has it’s original ribbed rubber band at its base so as to mount into the sconce without it slipping around. There are no cracks, chips or breakage and is in excellent vintage condition. This wall scone measures approximately 17-½” inches tall by 8” inches wide by a depth of 3-½” inches. It is excellent condition for a vintage item. FINE PRINT: As with all vintage/antique items there may be normal wear. Dings, dents, scratches and other unique details that do not take away from the value or function, but add to the history and character of the item. 1970's Vintage Genuine Wrought Iron Gothic Medieval Style Wall Sconce
And here we have available this vintage wall sconce also from the 1960's early 1970's in the Gothic Revival style in home décor which is made out of what I believe to be genuine wrought iron metal. It is quite a heavy and a solid piece showing a natural texture finish on the front and a spade shape on top. It has a fluted drip plate and the candle holder cup has a scalloped edge. There is a gold brass crown piece around the candle holder part which I assume used to hold a tall glass cover over the candle which is missing. There is no makers mark. But it does have the number 1127 embossed into the back. It does not come with a votive glass candle holder since it's meant to hold a tapered candle of which there is some minor residue in the cup. It measures approximately 12" inches tall with the ruffled base 3" inches ... morein diameter. There are no cracks, chips or breakage and is in excellent vintage condition. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL AND RARE DESIGN. Antique(c1940s) French wall sconce lamps. This grand pair mimic climbing rose bushes which are attached to center poles/stakes. The vines/branches and leaves are gilded iron tole with ivory/white porcelain roses in full bloom. Each sconce features 7 porcelain roses. The sconces are quite grand in size and measure 29" tall. They have ornate wall plates of gilded bronze or brass with a flower petal design surrounded with a beaded pattern. Long arms extend the sconces out from the wall for an even grander effect. The sconces operate with one regular sized, 60 watt bulb(not the small candelabra type bulbs) Each sconce retains their original harp and finial. The finials are also porcelain roses. This is a beautiful, elegant pair of sconces with a truly unique design. THEY ARE GORGEOUS! ... moreThey are in very good condition for their age. The roses do have some minor chips on their edges, but nothing that is too noticeable or out of the ordinary and certainly nothing distracting. The chains are a double link chain, each double link measures 3/4" very ornate. Wonderful addition to the rustic, primitive, or antique deco. THis is all original, it has not been painted or cleaned. Antique, Highly Decorative Cast Iron Art Deco Wall Sconce Base
1920's or 1930's ornate. Floral patterned art deco cast iron wall sconce base stamped with the number'24' I have been told that this number indicates what size slip shade is required. It is not stamped with the manufacturer's name. The sconce can be hard wired into your electrical supply and operated with a wall switch, or it can be operated with the switch on the base itself. For the safest operation, it should be rewired and the socket should be replaced. This is an easy task that you can do yourself. The sconce base measures 8 1/4" high by 6 1/2" wide at the widest point. Maximum depth is about 3" The existing socket takes one light bulb with a regular sized base.
