Antique Art Deco Brass Hanging Chain Ceiling Light With Glass Shade
Antique Art Deco Brass Hanging Chain Ceiling Light With Glass Shade This is an antique Art Deco hanging chain ceiling light with a white and tan satin glass shade. The ceiling and light socket fixture are both brass. The chain is brass coated metal. All parts were tested with a magnet. The magnet doesn't stick to the brass parts. But does stick to the chain. It comes with the original cast iron hanging hardware. The light hangs from the ceiling 30" The brass ceiling fixture is 5 1/4" in diameter. The shade measures 7" in diameter and 3 3/4" tall. It has the original ceramic socket and cloth insulated wires. There are several breaks in the insulation, so the lamp will have to be rewired. The glass shade is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are wear marks from where the pull chain rubbed on the outside ... moreof the shade. These can be seen in the last picture. The shade measures about 12 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The metal components have been sanded and repainted a glossy white. The original Leviton porcelain socket has been rewired and accepts a 150 watt bulb. This amazing light fixture hangs 16 inches from the ceiling. The mounting hardware will be included. Antique Brass Light Fixture Hanging Pull Chain Hallway Closet Stairway Ceiling
Up for auction is an antique brass light fixture. Ceiling mount with a pull chain. I'm guessing it's brass. It is not magnetic. Looks like brass. Has a cloth cord. Black piece between the cord and fixture is plastic or bakelite. It uses a standard size bulb. I don't know if it works. I have no way of testing it. The pull chain does click when pulled. It's in good used condition. No cracks. Chips, or breaks. Brass shows wear, scuffs, marks, paint marks. It might be able to be cleaned/polished. I haven't tried, I'll leave that to the experts. I think it has character the way it is now. Cloth wrap on the cord has fraying but I don't see any bare wire exposed. The wire inside the cloth wrap seems to be cloth wrapped and not torn or frayed. It measures 12" long. The part that mounts to the ceiling is 4 1/2" ... morediameter, about 3" long. Socket is 2 1/2" long. This is a really neat antique light fixture that would great in a staiway or hallway. This is a complete swag lamp kit from what we estimate is 100 years old or more. It is an art deco/ Art Nouveau design, stamped ceiling plate. The chain and hardware are all original to the last installation. We are selling some architectural salvage items for period correct restorations. These are sold"as parts" to create period correct lighting. The electrical will probably have to be upgraded. The ceiling plate and tassel are in solid condition. No holes or pitting noted. There is a cast iron three hole piece on the ceiling side of the plate in which the threaded tassel tube mounts to. I believe I neglected to take a photo of that. From ... morethe three leg cast iron bracket, It is hung by a threaded lamp style tube so should be easy to adapt to a modern light box. The patina is strong. With ceiling paint to be removed. The original colors are visible, either for restore with patina, or using as a color template for reconditioning to recreate original appearance. Beautiful little sconce. And has a very unique acorn finial on the pull chain. The set screws on the pierced top fitter are pretty little flowers, and all three are present. It was in use in our 1891 home until just recently when we opened up a wall to the reading nook it was in to make a master bath. I suspect it was there from when the house was wired to replace the gas lights. Our town. Bellefonte, was the second town to be electrified after Edison's home town! The sconce is wired and ready to go. But please an electrician or knowledgeable person double check the wiring to your satisfaction since it is not a new piece. The wiring is cloth covered, but doesn't look original, so may have been rewired more recently. The piece is marked 250V Hubbel 250W on the socket. And Pat Applied For on the arm. Brass Antique Victorian? Hubbell Candlestick Light Acorn Pull Chain Bracket
This listing is for an unknown age light fixture. This is a rather beautiful light fixture that most likely came from a larger chandelier or maybe a part of a wall light. It is working and has been tested. The bulb fixture was made by Hubbell. The bulb fixture fits on a bracket with grooves probably originally to hold a glass shade. The bottom bracket does have a ornate design leading to a victorian age but the pull chain and cord lend themselves to the 1920s-40s. Lastly. Someone painted some silver spots on the fixture. The bottom knob for the pull chain looks like a miniature Acorn which is a beautiful accent. The fixture measures 10.25 by 2.5 by 2.5 with a 8 foot cord. They would be good for refurbishing a victorian era home or various other decorative home projects. This would make an excellent addition to any collection. Antique Beaded Chain for Crystal chandelier. With 15mm Beads, 20” long Strands Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Antique Crystal Chandelier Prisms& Parts We were lucky to find this cache of crystal chandelier parts. Containing the prisms of at least three different chandeliers. The pieces vary in condition and era, but they all appear to be leaded crystal, hand cut. The oldest crystals in the lot have black metal wire fasteners, with nail heads. Many of these particular crystals look old enough to be true antiques, 100 years old or more. These prisms, the spear points particularly, appear to have suffered a traumatic injury, i.e. we think the chandelier smashed to the floor. We culled the broken ones out of the lot, but there are still bits of broken spears attached to some connectors. These old ones have marks of age, nicks, ... morebroken points, which is to be expected considering their past history. On the other hand. The rest of the prisms are in very good condition(no trauma) They bear brass or other metal nail head fasteners, and coiled wire fasteners. All of these prisms put on quite a light show, aurora borealis-style, and filled the room with light and rainbow reflections. We have no marks. Up for auction is a nice 1930's 40's Art Deco 3 hole light shade in white with hobnail trim and an intricate cut glass design on the middle and trim pieces. This will be beautiful when all lit up with the intricate glass design. This color will go with most any interior room color you have. Good condition with only one very small sliver on the underside. You have to really look for it to see it. Measures approx. 11" x 4" The holes are in good vintage condition, with no major flaws noted. Beautiful antique pull down oil lamp. Original finish. Ornate stamped leaf designs grace the bands. Highly detailed base finial. The spring chain retractor is stamp dated: PAT. AUG. 23. 92. A true classic antique. The measurements are approximate. All sides are shown. Click and enlarge the image for a detailed view. Shown lit up so you can imagine how wonderful this light will look in your home. The total hang when fully extended from the top of the ceiling cap to the base of the bottom finial is 50" When fully retracted the hang is 32" Pulls down and retracts like it should. Movement is a bit stiff. A drop or two of oil might be a good idea. The bands. Base finial, and the smoke cap are solid brass. The chains are not brass. All the parts have a snug fit. Matching glass prisms. Overall each is 3 1/4" long. The top band has ... moreten double glass prisms. The base band has thirty double prisms. A few have minor fleabites on the tips. The glass shade has a 14" diameter. Fits nicely into the band. Wonderful matching strawberry and leaves design on both sides. Very light wear to the design. No cracks or chips to the shade. A couple very small fleabites. A bit of darkening in several areas. Cast into the base of the glass oil reservoir: Lamp Light Farms. Made in USA. Model 330. The reservoir might not be original to the lamp. Shown in the pictures with(blue) oil. The oil will be drained prior to shipping. The brass lamp reservoir holder measures: Inside top diameter is 3 3/4 x 1 1/2" deep. No cracks. Chips, or repairs to any of the parts. Minor character nicks, scratches, and wear to the original finish. Heavy and an oversized box. Shipping weight is almost twenty pounds. The shade is double-boxed.
