The chandelier cage is brilliant brass with a cut line, faux twist pattern on the arms. The chandelier cage houses crystal bead chains, large crystal florettes, large crystal u-drops and very large crystal Argand style spears. This is a STUNNING chandelier, very dramatic. The crystals are all old, not new replacements. The chandlier is in very good condition. There is expected aging to the brass patina in a few areas, but overall it is still brilliant brass in color. We are pleased to offer this fabulous chandelier! Dating to the Mid Century. This fixture features exceptional quality and is extremely heavy. It has a brilliant brass frame that features both straight lines as well as curves. There are four curved upper arms which connect to and support the fixture. The body of the chandlier feature 8 panel design. Brilliant brass separates the glass panels. The glass is very thick and is curved inward(concave) It is deeply etched/engraved on the top, down the sides, on the bottom with a linear, tri-cut design. The glass panels are held to the curved brass frame with a screw on their upper sections as well as their lower. The brass frame is accented on each panel with an acorn finial both on the upper and lower sections. The ornate center column is brass with an incised twist pattern. It is finished with ... morean acorn finial on the bottom. There are a total of 17 acorn finials on the fixture! There are eight arms which curve upward from the bottom of the fixture. Each arm houses a single bulb which are candlestick in design. The candle sleeve covers are also brass, not plastic. The fixture retains its original octagon brass ceiling canopy cover. This is an upper end fixture. The quality is superb and the chandelier is simply stunning! It is in very good condition with only minor signs of aging to the brass. The chandelier features ornate, pierced brass bands under each socket as well as on the top of the fixture. The chandelier has a flared body. There are 5 arms of twisted brass that connect the upper chandelier to the light sockets. The arms pass through the horizontal brass band at the bottom section of the fixture. Inside of the arms is a large, brass, bell shaped"inner body" This feature houses a single, large, flood light bulb for down lighting. Each arm houses a single candelabra style bulb. A decorative bottom finial completes each arm. The chandelier has a slip shade design. There are 5 hurricane style, glass slip shades that rest on each arm. Pair Early 20th Century 2 Arm Bronze Sconces w Gilt Leaves Acorn Finials & Brass
Here we have a really great early 20th century pair of 2 arm bronze sconces with both gilt& brass leaves and acorn finials. These heavy sconces have a super deep time aged patina and we believe they date to the turn of 20th century. Each sconce has two arms and seven gilt leaves staggered along the length of the main bronze shaft. One sconce has four brass leaves between the gilt leaves and the other sconce is missing two brass leaves leaving two. All of the leaves have curved copper stems which are also used to hold the leaves to the main bronze shaft. These sconces are in untouched as-found condition with a wonderful deep time aged patina and we have not cleaned or dusted them. The patina is very deep and it is possible that it is remnants of red or brown paint. Each of these sconces will need brackets. Lighting parts, rewiring and ... morehave loose acorn finials. They each measure 13 1/4" tall. 4 1/4" across the arms and weigh 1 pound 10 ounces. This is a really interesting early 20th century pair of sconces with gilt leaves and with a little attention will make a wonderful usable pair. This was removed for renovation and worked at the time of removal. the bulb sockets look great- could have been replaced at some time as they look almost new. This pair of brass wall sconces measure 13 1/2" in diameter and date from the mid-late 18th century(c.1750-1800) Each is hand chased by an artisan and one has a lion and Coat of Arms and the other shows someone of aristocratic society(possibly who this exceptional pair of sconces were made for) The candlesticks are removable and show a dolphin head just below drip pans and they show period construction with hand hammered copper rivets. You are bidding on a vintage 3 tier lucite and brass chandelier. In the pictures it gives the apppearance of 4 tiers due to the different lengths of prisms used. It measures approx. 21" tall and 17 1/2" wide. The chain measures 16" long and comes with the original ceiling plate. This vintage chandelier features 12-8"prisms. 46-6"prisms and 16-4" prisms along with 46 beautiful lucite teardrops. It is in excellent working condition. It needs a good cleaning and it appears that one of the prism hooks had been glued together but it is not noticeable and it does not effect the hang of the prism. There are 9 lightbulb sockets(each with a 40 watt max. allowing for a wonderful lighting display of the prisms. RARE CHAPMAN MID CENTURY MODERN REGENCY OSTRICH EGG BRASS CHANDELIER DATED 1975
We are pleased to offer this exceptional. Mid Century, Regency chandelier. This is an elegant and high end fixture and was made by Chapman, dated 1975. The fixture is large and very heavy. It features brass hardware with an antiqued finish. The chandelier has 6 arms and lights. Each arm houses a large, composite ostrich egg which is located directly below the candlestick bobeche. The center column of the chandelier is long and segmented brass. There is a larger egg accent just below the center brass column. The eggs each have a brass"star" cap on both their upper and lower sections. They each have a bottom finial accent as well. This is a lovely chandelier. It is quite rare and very difficult to find. Chapman did make a similar styled wall sconce in 1978. The chandelier retains the original brass ceiling canopy/cover. It is marked ... morewith the manufacturer's sticker inside and is dated. There is a very small section of hanging chain but it is brighter in color and I do not think it is original. The chandelier is in very nice condition. There is only minimal evidence of age. The brass has a few age spots but nothing severe or distracting. The wiring is vintage but very good and the chandelier is in proper working order. Again. This is a large chandelier and it is INCREDIBLY HEAVY. The chandelier measures 27.5" tall(excluding chain and wiring) It is 25" wide. The 6 eggs on the arms are 6" long and 4.5" in diameter. The larger egg located on the body is 7" long and 5" in diameter. There are 4 links of brass chain and wiring which equate to a 7" ceiling hang measurement.
