From a local estate. Here is a beautiful older ceiling light fixture. This is painted pot metal and is set up for two bulbs, it measures about 12.75" end to end, about 7" across the middle. Sockets, mounting piece, and finial are intact. Will definitely need to be cleaned and rewired, but a good start, no damage at all. Classic art deco styling, should restore to a showpiece. This listing is for an authentic vintage antique light fixture. This is a large ornate chandelier style fixture. With five lights. Frame is heavy strap steel, ornamental panels are made of cast iron, as are bottom and top fittings. Floral bolt embellishments are pressed steel, ceiling cap and light sockets are brass. It measures 22" in length, excluding ceiling cap and top tubing. It measure 17" in diameter. It is a used fixture, and is in as found condition. It will need to be re-wired for use. It is missing one of the light bulb sockets, swing pendant on bottom, and set screw on ceiling cap. There are two splits in bottom ring of ceiling cap, but it is still very useable. The small flowers at bolts show paint loss. Cast iron parts, and ceiling cap retain good old paint. Fixture is otherwise in good used condition, and should restore ... moreeasily. Antique Ceiling Hanging Light Fixture Chandelier 5-Bulb Electric Brass Metal
For your restoration pleasure. Here is a lovely antique ceiling fixture. Mixed metal construction, the socket covers, bottom body, and ceiling rose are brass, the arms are probably pot metal, and the upper body part is steel. It measures about 18" across at the sockets, hangs down approximately 16" from the ceiling to the end of the finial. All five sockets include the shade screws and the individual switches are intact and seem to work properly. The lamp will of course need to be rewired. And it has developed a fair amount of oxidation, tarnish, and finish loss. Other than that, the fixture is in remarkably solid condition, should restore to a show piece or could be enjoyed as found if you appreciate a shabby, original look. The ON/OFF switch/knob is on the bottom of the chandelier…the switch is still installed and shown in pictures. Includes all parts as shown in pictures…Chandelier…canopy…chain…mounting hardware. The chandelier comes apart as shown in pictures. Needless to say…needs work rewiring and polishing. A“barn” treasure…I gave it a basic“dirt” cleaning…it is mostly as found. WHAT TO EXPECT: need bulb sockets and rewiring…corrosion on metal…there is also some wax on one of the sockets and on the ornate mid-section base where it attaches to the pan. Before you ask…I have no idea how come there is wax there…surprised me. Too.
