I have for auction this magnificent genuine antique gilt bronze and fine french crystal chandelier. It will date to the late 1800s, it came to me through a house clearance here in the South of France, as you can see in my photo's, this chandelier is for candles, as it was originally, in approx the 1920s/1930s it was wired for electricity, but this wiring was so old and distressed. It literally d i solved in my hands. So it has been removed and put back to its original state, I still have some of the old bulb holders and faux candles from the 1920s. Made of wood, please see last photo, I am happy to include these for you in this sale; I am sure it could be easily and inexpensively changed back to be lit by electricity if required. STUNNING ANTIQUE FRENCH ITALIAN ORNATE BRASS BRONZE CRYSTAL WATERFALL CHANDELIER
We are pleased to offer this stunning. Antique crystal chandelier. This wonderful fixture is French styled and features 4 waterfall tiered sections, two on the top and two on the bottom. The center of the chandelier features an extremely ornate brass/bronze band with large crystals inside the band. The chandelier is 6 light; you will note a couple of the light sockets are missing bulbs, but they all function perfectly. The brass/bronze is absolutely beautiful throught this fixture. It is embossed with delicate and intricate patterns. The same pattern is also found on the original ceiling cover canopy which is also included with the fixture. The chandelier features 12 crystals on the 1st waterfall top section and 24 crystals on the second tier. There are 12 large crystal around the circumference of the chandelier's center band. They are superb quality made of cast gilt bronze with wonderful lead crystals that really catches the light and sparkles. This lovely quality chandelier and matching wall lights were found in a house clearance here in the South of France. They would have been extremely expensive when first purchased and they have obviously been treasured. Please look at all 12 of my photographs to see all the wonderful detail. The maximum drop of the chandelier from is pretty ceiling rose is approx 30" or 76cms, this could easilly be lengthened or shortened if need be by adding or removing chain, the maximum width is approx 15.75" or 40cms. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Mid Century, 1960s drum chandelier. This stunning, Hollywood Regency fixture features elements of both French and Italian design. The fixture is made of bronzed, textural brass. The chandelier is tiered with the upper, 3 banded tier, housing the chain connectors which attach to the lower tier. The lower tier features seven"window" sections which are accented/framed with an overlay of ornate brass trim. Inside each window are 6 strands of 3 crystal beads. The 4 light housing is located in this lower tier. The chandelier hangs from an ornate chain with a 10.5" long, beaded and swirled glass, decorative connecter. The chandelier is in very good. ANTIQUE CRYSTAL LOUIS XV CHANDELIER GOLD ORMOLU BRONZE FROND 10 LIGHT
We are pleased to offer this SPECTACULAR antique chandelier. The chandelier is brass with an extraordinary gold plated finish. It is accented with arching bronze fronds at the top of the fixture and attached to the arms. The fixture is 10 arm and 10 light. The arms have alternating heights and lengths: 5 arms are longer and extend lower than the other 5. The arms also have alternating positioning of the bronze fronds that are attached to them. The longer arms are"double" with a decorative. swan" shaped upper arm that attaches to the frame. These attachment arms have acanthus leaf tips which give the"swans" a nice appearance. Bronze fronds extend outward from the top of the chandelier with crystals hanging from each. The chandelier is also adorned with an ornate bronze arm hub, on the bottom of the fixture and the ... moreceiling canopy/cover. There are accent finials both on the bottom of the fixture as well as on the inside of the lower section. The chandelier has old. Leaded crystal prisms which are original to the fixture. Ten of the prisms are in a diamond cut with triangular points on each side(see photo#5) The diamond cut crystals are in 2 sizes; five are 2.75" and five are 3.5" There are also ten 6.5" crystal strands with graduated beads and large rectangular prisms. Five of these dangle from the top, large fronds and 5 are located on the lower section of the chandelier. There are 55, large 2.5" crystal teardrops. Five hang on each bobeche and 5 are on the lower section of the fixture. There are a total of 75 prisms on the fixture. Because of the intricate detailing on the frame, I have photographed with and without crystals as the frame is quite exceptional. This is an extraordinary antique chandelier. It is in very good condition with very little evidence of age. It is exquisite! The fixture measures 24" wide and 24" tall. There is approximately 10" of chain included. The wiring is vintage cloth but it is in good condition. The canopy is marked. Made in
