All new modern sockets and wiring but with high quality brass casting and design. This is a large fixture and the pictures may not convey the scale. It measures 63" tall x 33" wide. It is perfect for a Victorian entryway or stairway. You would need tall ceilings for this one. Check out the pictures. The detail is beautiful. Cast Griffins and torches are right out of the 1800's. This fixture is not marked but in excellent condition. The 5 brass arms have gas key turns and nice solid brass shade holders in a period style. Shades are hand tooled glass. The design on each shades is of flowers and trees repeating around the base. The shades are French and marked"CVV Vienna and Made in France" They have a wonderful blue tint at the ruffle rimmed top. Each measures 8 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" tall. Perfect scale for this size chandelier. 3 Victorian Electric Brass Wall Sconces Early 1900's
Set of three wall sconces. These were early electric and the shade holder shows dates from the 1890's. One of the three has be refinished and rewired. All ready to go! Two of them need some polishing. The only thing I see missing are the set screws for two shade holders. The conical wall mount is 5 inches in diameter and the distance from the wall is 10 1/2 inches.

Gas/Electric 1890 Brass Sconces- An EXCEPTIONAL PaIr!
Up for your consideration is an EXTREMELY FINE Pair of 1890's Gas/Electric sconces with their original cut frosted shades professionally rewired for use. These ornate late victorian creations feature a unique frosted brass leaf decoration on each of the heavy polished brass wallplates and pendant sockets. Both are Signed on the shade holders as shown in picture 8. PAT'D SEP.23.90, MADE IN U.S.A. The socket reads, 50C.P. 850 VOLTS, GENERAL ELECTRIC CO along with"G.E. Co" on the turn switch as shown picture 9. The 4"ORIGINAL" antique shades have luckily survived the 120 years since their manufacture with only normal fitter wear. No repairs or missing pieces! The gas jet was wired for electric use when they were rewired, hand cleaned and unlacquered. The pictures show it with a flicker type flame light that is included ... morewith this auction. The lower pendant bulbs are not. Each fixture including the shades measure 15" high by 8" wide and project 9" This superb pair is ready to grace your period home, museum room installtion, or period light collection. International bidders MUST contact me prior to bidding for a shipping estimate! Up for sale are 2 Old Vintage Japan Gas Converted Electric Brass Wall Sconces/ Light Fixtures. The 2 brasses sconces used to be gas and have been fully converted to electric. On the rim of the one of the fitters it shows the patent date of"Pat'd.Dec896, Sept2996" The twist knob says"P& S" on the fixture it's also engraved"Weber Patents" They are in excellent working condition. The wire is newer. Upon looking at them. I'm not sure how you would mount them as there's no hardware and I don't see how you would fit it to the wall(even with the bar that's on it) I will leave it up to the new owner to determine. I figured you could drill holes into the canopy and mount it to the wall. The brass is VERY delicate ... moreand it shows it's age very much. There are some dents in it etc.which are hard to see in photos. The pictures show the cosmetic condition a little better than they actually are.The glass shades for the large fitter seem to be heavy for this lightweight of a fixture. You could replace them with something lighter or maybe more of that period. Also, one of the screws appears to be newer. The large fitter is 4 1/8" the small fitter is 2 1/4" The diameter of the canopy is 4" All of the glass shades are free of chips or cracks but do show some wear. You are welcome to keep the crystals but if you don't want or need them let me know. You can add the teardrop prisms and would be quite nice. I never saw these new but I think they are supposed to have a distressed or antique look to them. Possibly they were originally solid colored and shiny and over the years have developed ... morethis look. The gold leaves are shiny where they are supposed to be and also have areas where it is a darker color and gives it the distressed look. Pair (2) Vintage Wall Sconces Polished Brass Metal with Wood Trim Electric Plugs

They have approximately 5 foot electrical cords which are not antique. But plainly old, so I would advise rewiring them. They both work and can use a normal light bulb. They are polished brass or some sort of gold metal with wood trims. both have twist on and off switches. They are about 12" long and weigh about 14 oz each. They look very good although the top cups where the bulbs go are a different material and are a bit pitted(see photos) If you have more questions I will be happy to answer them as best I can. Up for sale is a vintage solid brass lamp shade. For outdoor or indoor use, recently found at auction in the Lancaster County, PA area. It appears to be old, new stock, never used and is found in very good condition. There are a few spots and scratches but otherwise, quite clean. Please see the photos for details. The brass gives that gold look. There is the words, As Is in purple ink. I imagine it is due to surface scratches. Antique Ceiling Hanging Light Fixture Chandelier 5-Bulb Electric Brass Metal
For your restoration pleasure. Here is a lovely antique ceiling fixture. Mixed metal construction, the socket covers, bottom body, and ceiling rose are brass, the arms are probably pot metal, and the upper body part is steel. It measures about 18" across at the sockets, hangs down approximately 16" from the ceiling to the end of the finial. All five sockets include the shade screws and the individual switches are intact and seem to work properly. The lamp will of course need to be rewired. And it has developed a fair amount of oxidation, tarnish, and finish loss. Other than that, the fixture is in remarkably solid condition, should restore to a show piece or could be enjoyed as found if you appreciate a shabby, original look. Vtg. Antique Brass Hanging Electric Ceiling Light! Lamp! Victorian! Chandelier
I have two of these listed so if you need a matching set please view it's mate. I listed separate because most of the time people only need one. This wonderful antique light measures 23 inches wide/round and 18 inches tall. The chain and the part that attaches to the ceiling are an additional 20 inches. But of course, the chain can be shortened to adjust to the height of your ceiling. I personally would replace the chain and rewire the lamp due to age. For its age, it's in excellent shape, and I can find very little wear. There is a bit of scuffing and the metal has tarnished a little bit in spots. That would be mainly on the chain and such though, as the body of the lamp is just great. The bulbs need replace and you can chose the bulb of your choice. Beautiful little sconce. And has a very unique acorn finial on the pull chain. The set screws on the pierced top fitter are pretty little flowers, and all three are present. It was in use in our 1891 home until just recently when we opened up a wall to the reading nook it was in to make a master bath. I suspect it was there from when the house was wired to replace the gas lights. Our town. Bellefonte, was the second town to be electrified after Edison's home town! The sconce is wired and ready to go. But please an electrician or knowledgeable person double check the wiring to your satisfaction since it is not a new piece. The wiring is cloth covered, but doesn't look original, so may have been rewired more recently. The piece is marked 250V Hubbel 250W on the socket. And Pat Applied For on the arm. I polished it about 4 years ago, ... moreand it has mellowed to a lovely light brass patina. The ruffled glass looks like a flame sitting atop the torch of each sconce. The brass sockets have bakelite keys marked BRYANT. The canopies slide on straight stems for wiring. Behind the canopies are cast brass mounting plates. 6" wide x 9" deep x 11-1/2" high overall each. The canopy measures 4-1/2" across. The glass ... moreis in great condition with no chips or cracks. The brass has tarnished here and there and on one torch bottom it is well tarnished as shown. One sliding canopy is slightly out of round. The wiring should be replaced. I didn't test them. But the sockets seem mechanically sound. Hopefully they can be kept because they really complete the look. One glass thumb screw is missing as well. Please see the pictures for more details. Antique Vintage Brass or Gold Wall Crystal Electric Light Candelabra Sconce
Beautiful Antique vintage Large Wall Sconce Candelabra. Has Crystals around the candle holders and the candle covers have a lovely gold drip to them. It's a rope style gold brass. I am not sure if it's brass or guilt metal. All the lights work. I have bulbs in all but one that burned out. In excellent condition. It can be wall mounted or just hung. It has a switch to turn it on and off and a cord to plug in. I've used it over my bed and it's great to just reach up and turn it off. Recently moved and am having to downsize. It measures 22 inches tall by about 43 inches wide.

They are both marked English Made Duplex lamps but the knobs do not turn. They are missing their chimneys but they are easily replaced. They have adjustable arms to spread them closer together or far apart. They are each 8-1/2” high and when spread open they are 16” wide. Excellent condition, the old silk wiring will need replaced with more modern wire if you want them to work. Please see the photos.

Up for bid is a vintage hanging electric light. I think its brass on the bottom. Not sure of the maker. But there is a D with an arrow on the switch. The top of the light has rust on it. Gorgeous Victorian era. One of a kind, antique/vintage, pair of swiveling. Ornate, round, adjusted, double arm. Wall sconces. Solid brass. Polished and clear coated to restore original shine and beauty. Converted from gas to electric. Fully functioning and tested. With 2 Etched/Frosted Glass Shades. Fixture rewired and in perfect working condition. Arms swiveling left to right and back. To any desired position. Uses one medium size bulb each sconce. Size of the sconce is 24" long with shade attached and 6" at widest part. Shades are 4" tall. 2 1/4" fitter, 5" top opening Etched/frosted. Antique Victorian Brass Electric light fixture, ceiling chandelier, Deco, glass
This auction is for an ornate Victorian or Art Deco looking brass ceiling light. Chandelier style, made to hang on a chain. It was taken from my mother in laws house recently during a remodel, the house was built in 1916 and this is the original living room light. It has three lights, the holders for the bulbs are on ornate arms, and dangle, they are not fixed in place, and they were set up to turn on individually by turning the key on each light. The chain, and ornate key bit on the end are still present as well as a cone like piece, but I can't recall how they were all put together. but all the pieces are here. There are 3 heavy glass shades, lightly frosted on the insides and not chipped or damaged. The light fixture has some dust on the top, a few paint splashes from paint jobs over the years, and the wiring is the old original cloth ... morecovered style, so I would recommend rewiring!
