The opening for the pipe is approximately 3/4" The screw used to tighten the canopy onto the pipe looks original and in working order. Most of this home still relied on the original“knob and tube” wiring for its electrical power. The first floor ceilings of this home were 11' high. A few of the ceiling fixtures were controlled by pull chain switches due to the lack of wall switches. This fixture was originally equipped with a pull chain switch. It used to hang from a light fixture, probably an old chandelier. This finial is in the shape of a tassel. It measures approximately 5 3/4" long(to the top of the plate and not including the screw at the top) The plate is about 3 1/2" in diameter and the tassel, alone, measures about 4" long. It is in very good condition with the original finish still there. It is turning green in some places but it only adds to the antique charm. 1920's 1930's Brass Art Deco Hanging Chandelier Ceiling Light Fixture Vintage Hanging Light Fixture Up for sale we have this very sweet hanging light fixture maybe from the 1920's or 1930's This very ornate 6-lite light fixture is made of solid brass and is in good condition with normal wear This piece was in really bad condition in appearance so we decided to clean it up and give it a brand new look and it came out wonderful There's 2 minor issues.the hole for the small screw that keeps the ceiling cap in place on the metal tube near the top is stripped and will need a slightly larger screw and one of the screw holes that hold the shade on appears to be cross-threaded.other than that there's nothing else wrong The shades are not the original shades for this piece and one shade is slightly different. The ruffled rim ... moreis not cut as deep as the rest. One shade does have a small crack in it. These shades are not old and are common and were put on here to finish the look. This listing is for a Vintage Solid Brass Ceiling Type Bird Cage Chandelier. At present it is in working condition Though it should be Rewired for safety. I Believe it is almost completely brass the only thing a magnet will stick to is the nut inside of the ceiling canopy and some of the parts that mount the sockets. VTG BRASS CHANDELIER CEILING 4 LIGHT FIXTURE W/ FROSTED & CUT GLASS DOME SHADE
Up for auction is a pre-owned Vintage all brass CHANDELIER ceiling light fixture with 4 outside lights and 1 center light with the dome center frosted and cut glass shade. The light fixture is all brass but have some of the areas painted a tan or light brown color. Light have 4 heavy cast brass ornate 4-light chandelier arm with the flat on/off knobs( knobs are marked BRYANT) Light has a 20" long chain and the domed ceiling mount cover cap. All the fixture shades are frosted with cut in detailed design( cut in design is the clear glass) and gives off a soft. Warm glow when lit. BULBS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION! I cannot find a signature on the light. SIZE: Approximately 20 1/2" across the arms and 47" from the domed ceiling mount cover to the bottom of the shade. The 4 outside smaller shades are 5" from top to bottom ... moreoutside, top of these shades are 1 7/8" on the inside and 2 3/16" aross to the outside. The bottom of the 4 smaller shades are 3 1/2" across to the inside and 3 3/4" aross to the outside. The big center dome shade is 9 1/2" across the inside and 9 3/4" aross to the outside, and approx. 5 1/2' deep. CONDITION:I was real careful when I tried the light because of fraded and bare wires, but all the light sockets worked as shown in the pictures. The light DOES HAVE SOME CRACKS IN BRASS AROUND THE RIMS OF THE 4 OUTSIDE LIGHT, WHERE THE SHADE SCREWS ARE LOCATED, I do not think that these small crack will hurt any thing because when screwed in tight they hold the shades firmly in place. THERE IS ALSO A CRACK IN THE ADJUSTABLE TUBE, THAT ATTACH TO THE HOUSE CEILING FIXTURE(SEE PICTURES)All the shades are free of any cracks, but all have some light roughness, small flea bites around the top rims which cannot be seen when the shades are placed properly in the frame. LARGE ANTIQUE THEATER LOBBY BRONZE&BRASS CEILING LAMP LIGHT FIXTURE CHANDELIER 2
Here is one of two. Early 1900's era ~ SOLID BRONZE& BRASS THEATER LOBBY CEILING FIXTURE ~ Please check out the other fixture, that is just like this one, which I just listed as well. This early ceiling fixture is quite large measuring 21 inches across by 8 1/2 inches tall and weighs about 20 pounds. The entire fixture is solid brass or bronze. There is a maker's mark on the inside which is a B inside a Fleur-De-lis. This would have been a pretty expensive fixture to purchase back in the early 1900's. I would estimate that this was made around the 1910 to the very early 1920's era. It would mount flush to the ceiling and have exposed light bulbs which would add a wonderful look. I am selling this early fixture just like it was found when discovered in the estate. It has been tucked away for a very long time, and is in ... more100% all original untouched condition. The patina is wonderful and only needs a soft cleaning. There is a very light layer of beige paint along the top edge that would come right off with a little paint thinner. It will also need rewired and new sockets. It is actually a fairly easy rewire job as it is all exposed from the top. With the exception of the old cloth wiring and sockets, the lamp is in very good condition with no damage. I believe that the cast portion is bronze and the bottom pan is brass" a magnet does stick to the metal" and the entire fixture is all quality yellow metal. The original paint is in wonderful condition and would look fantastic with just a mild cleaning. This is a very unique light fixture and would be quite impressive in a Restaurant, Bar or even your home or business. They would really stand out in any type setting you choose to display it in. Victorian Brass Chandelier Ceiling Light Set - Matching Pair of Electrified Gas
For sale is a wonderful matching set of electrified antique lights. These are wired with new wires and sockets and both have the original etched glass shades which are quite large(3” fitter and 7 1/2” wide at the top. The lights are in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. There a few bumps and dings that are only visible with very close inspection. There are a couple of small places with tarnish. But those could be polished up easily. While these are a matching set. It does appear that over the years a couple of pieces have been replaced. The bottom finial pieces are different and the fitter on one is ornate and the other is simple(See pictures. Also, as you can see from the pictures they were hung using chains and simply plugged into an outlet. It would be fairly simple to buy a mounting plate from a local home improvement store ... moreand hang the lights flush with the ceiling. The light bulbs used in the photos are for display purposes only to illustrate a couple of options. They are not included in the auction. Vintage Chandelier Ceiling Light Fixture Brass Antique Art Nouveau Toggle Switch
Payment by palpal only. As shown an Antique Chandelier made from a Copper/Brass Alloy. The 3 socket shades were wired to the fixture. The holes do line up but stiff old fingers cannot manipulate the tiny screws. Note the flowers on the shades& the fixture. The piece is heavy at more than 6 lbs. And about 14 1/2" in diameter. The lamp is in very good restorable condition. The wiring has been replaced but the sockets have not. The other lamp in the last 2 pictures is listed separately. I retired from the U. S. Army in Sept. 1987. And for the last several years supplemented my retiree pay with ebay sales. And it is for the most part a blast.

Vtg. LARGE Brass LANTERN Ceiling CHANDELIER 6-Light RETRO Fixture Beveled Glass
Beautiful vintage ex large 6 sided. Beveled glass and solid brass ceiling light fixture in very good condition. It is used and has some minor scuffs but nothing real noticeable. The only metal part is aprx. 14 inches of gold colored chain.The chandelier drops down from ceiling aprx. 52 inches and of course chain can be added or take some off. The chandelier itself measures 36 inches tall and weighs 20 lbs. unpacked. I have one more that is identical if high bidder wants two, but two is all I have.It is a 6 light but in picture a couple is burned out. Very beautiful light with no cracks or damage. Antique Ceiling Hanging Light Fixture Chandelier 5-Bulb Electric Brass Metal
For your restoration pleasure. Here is a lovely antique ceiling fixture. Mixed metal construction, the socket covers, bottom body, and ceiling rose are brass, the arms are probably pot metal, and the upper body part is steel. It measures about 18" across at the sockets, hangs down approximately 16" from the ceiling to the end of the finial. All five sockets include the shade screws and the individual switches are intact and seem to work properly. The lamp will of course need to be rewired. And it has developed a fair amount of oxidation, tarnish, and finish loss. Other than that, the fixture is in remarkably solid condition, should restore to a show piece or could be enjoyed as found if you appreciate a shabby, original look. Vtg. Antique Brass Hanging Electric Ceiling Light! Lamp! Victorian! Chandelier
I have two of these listed so if you need a matching set please view it's mate. I listed separate because most of the time people only need one. This wonderful antique light measures 23 inches wide/round and 18 inches tall. The chain and the part that attaches to the ceiling are an additional 20 inches. But of course, the chain can be shortened to adjust to the height of your ceiling. I personally would replace the chain and rewire the lamp due to age. For its age, it's in excellent shape, and I can find very little wear. There is a bit of scuffing and the metal has tarnished a little bit in spots. That would be mainly on the chain and such though, as the body of the lamp is just great. The bulbs need replace and you can chose the bulb of your choice.
