Antique Art Deco Brass Hanging Chain Ceiling Light With Glass Shade
Antique Art Deco Brass Hanging Chain Ceiling Light With Glass Shade This is an antique Art Deco hanging chain ceiling light with a white and tan satin glass shade. The ceiling and light socket fixture are both brass. The chain is brass coated metal. All parts were tested with a magnet. The magnet doesn't stick to the brass parts. But does stick to the chain. It comes with the original cast iron hanging hardware. The light hangs from the ceiling 30" The brass ceiling fixture is 5 1/4" in diameter. The shade measures 7" in diameter and 3 3/4" tall. It has the original ceramic socket and cloth insulated wires. There are several breaks in the insulation, so the lamp will have to be rewired. The glass shade is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are wear marks from where the pull chain rubbed on the outside ... moreof the shade. These can be seen in the last picture. A fabulous vintage French Art Deco design ceiling light. The heavy opaque glass dome has a deep internal rib design(with the outer glass being smooth) Fitted with is a very stylish decorative brass outer collar which has a delightful filigree pattern running around the whole of the outer rim. There is a complimentary brass empire style centre embellishment to set it off. In very good used vintage condition. Only a few light scuffs/ age tarnishing to the brass. There are some old*Red paint remnants to the outer edge of the inner ribbed glass dome(see photograph) The decorative brass outer collar fastens to a metal plate(The old original screws ... morehave been replaced) The flat ceiling fixing plate has screw holes already drilled to enable fastening to the ceiling. There is a central access hole for the electic cable. No bulb holder is included. A very Chateau Chic addition that would grace any period home. The little springie contact point in the bottom of the sockets(see pics) looks to haver never been pushed down, and I am talking about all 4. Of course the wireing is decayed and needs redone. On the lower section of the body is a large glass ball for accent. The glass is thick and appears to be blown with a sublte vertical pattern. It is deeply etched/cut with a flower on each side. The flowers have long stems and leaves which are also very deep and textural. The unique bottom brass finial is an exact replica of the chandelier body which is a very nice touch. There are 5 brass arms with lovely curved lines. Each arm houses a single bulb. There are 5 hurricane style shades which appear to be hand painted with a soft green and white leave and stem design. Antique Brass & Cast Iron Art Deco Chandelier 5 Sockets Hanging Cluster Light
Here we have an Art Deco hanging chandelier that holds 5 bulbs. This is an antique lamp that is brass and cast iron. The soceket cups and the shaft of the fixture are brass and the center star and circle are cast iron. The chain on this chandelier is a more recent vintage chain but could be easily replaced with one that would go better with the age of this lamp. As you can see it is in good condition but there is some wear to this lamp the worst of it shown in the last photo. This chandelier is about 15 inches in diameter and has a turn switch in the center that can turn the lights on and off. I would recomend re-wireing this before installation. Vintage large art deco brass school store industrial ceiling light fixture
For sale is a vintage 1930 1940 school house industrial ceiling light fixture pendant light. The fixture hangs down from the ceiling about 50 inches. It could be easily shortened by taking out links in chain and shortening wire or it can be extended down further for those who have very high ceilings since there is another additional 32 inches of wire that extends past the canopy. Just add the desired length of links and you won't have to rewire since the extra wire is already attached. It has a great art deco milk glass shade that measures about 9 inches tall and about 12 inches wide at widest part. It has a six inch opening and is in great shape without any cracks and only minor flea bites along the edge of opening(see pictures) Very minor and does not interfere with the beauty of function of item since it fits inside the shade holder ... moreand is not seen. The shade holder and canopy are solid brass with a shiny finish(I don't think it is lacquered and will age to a beautiful antique brass finish over time. RARE UNUSUAL ART DECO ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SLAG GLASS BRASS PENDANT LIGHT LAMP
Fabulous. Unusual and rare, beautiful art deco slag glass egg or bullet shaped pendant hanging lamp or light in good condition. The slag glass is encased in a lovely architectural designed framework probably made of brass with a fantastic patina! A magnet does not stick to any part of this light except the rod connecting the chain to the ceiling cover. Even the ceiling dome or cover does not attract a magnet. The total length of this light from ceiling cover to pointed finial is 29" while the length of the bullet itself is 16 1/2" from the finial to the ring attached on the bottom. The circumference around the largest center part of the light is 26 1/2" The light opens on a hinge to expose the socket for a light bulb. The old cloth wiring is not good so I could not try this light to see if it works but I have no reason to think ... morethat it does not. There is corrosion on the chain and inside the dome ceiling cover but no damage to the lovely caramel colored slag glass inserts. This is a heavy piece and will require extra padding and packing to insure it's safe delivery but I always refund any overages for shipping. Insurance will be required by the buyer. Circa 1915. This HOLOPHANE electric light shade is classic art deco industrial. It is a is clear ribbed style with a scalloped or ruffled rim and a crosshatch pattern near the fitter. The shade measures 2 1/4" across the fitter opening. 7" across the bottom and is 4 3/4" tall. Marked Holophane and B 2. Excellent original condition with only a few TINY chips at the fitter. The brass fitter is marked Hubbell pat’d. It was painted black at one time, but this paint could easily be removed. The three brass screws have a sweet flower detail. Please see the pictures. For your bidding is a gorgeous pair of Art Deco 2 Light wall sconces. The backs which are 7" in diameter are brass grating with a brass plate in the back that has been painted white. Each sconce has two lights/candles that are 6 1/2" tall with the original sleeves and pull changes to turn on and off(all working) The total length of each sconce is 9 1/2" The arms of the lights have swirled detailed designs and reach out 6 1/2" from the wall. The back plates of the sconces are held on by three nuts. There is a metal bar in which to hang them. They have the original wiring which looks to be in good condition. All parts are originals. 1930's Aluminum & Brass Art Deco 2 Light Slip Shade Chandelier Fixture w shades
Beautiful 1930's Aluminum& Brass Art Deco 2 Light Slip Shade Chandelier Ceiling Fixture with two(2) shades. The fixture is 16" tall and about 12"14" wide. This striking fixture is in very good condition. The wiring has been replaced. But not sure about the sockets, which are moveable, making it easier to change bulbs. There are a few small chips on the shades, mainly around mounting openings, as shown in pictures, but nothing that detracts from the beauty of the chandelier. I've taken pictures of the shades from all angles so please examine closely and ask any questions.

Hilda said the home has been in her family since the 30's and all light fixtures were in it since then. This light apears to be all brass( I checked it with a magnet) except for a plate on top where you can see a magnet and you don't see that plate anyway. All 4 swiches work and are marked weber. In 1 of the pictures you can see where I unscrewed one of those brass deals and if you want you can leave them off and use glass shades as each light has 3 screws to hold the glass shades on. The center body of the chandelier is a large etched/cut glass vase with deeply incised pattern. The slightly curved 5 arms house exceptional cut glass/crystal, brandy snifter style shades. The shades have a deeply etched/cut grape and vine pattern. These slip shades simply sit into the fitter of the socket with no attachment screws. They are beautifully shaped and substantial in circumference for a fixture of this size. The fixture is in very nice antique condition. The brass has the expected aged patina which is beautiful.
