Antique Tudor Revival Medieval Gothic Deco Nouveau Moe-Bridges Style Chandelier
This is an antique chandelier light fixture with five lights. It came out of a victorian home and was probably a replacement when the gaslights were taken out. It looks like a Moe-Bridges light fixture but I am not sure because I can't find any marks on it. It has been professionally rewired and works great. It is heavy and made of brass and painted metal. It has red. Green and gold colors in the decoration. There are some chips on some of the painted areas especially the finial that hangs down on the bottom of the fixture. I didn't want to change or alter the finish at all so I left it as is. I hung the fixture on a ladder to photograph it hanging but I am sure it would look much better hanging from the ceiling in your home. The actual body of the fixture measures 25" long and about 20" wide. The chain and ceiling cover ... moremeasure another 24" long. The fixture and chain measure approximately 49" long. THIS GREAT UPSTATE NEW YORK ESTATE FIND IS A CAST IRON WALL SCONCE MEASURING 9 3/4" TALL X 4 3/4" WIDE AND 4 3/4" OUT FROM THE WALL. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE ABOUT 1920s. ON THE BACK IS A NAME I CAN'T QUITE MAKE OUT. THE IMAGES SHOW MOST OF THE NAME BUT I DON'T KNOW WHATS MISSING, MAYBE SOMEONE CAN TELL ME. It appears to be made of wrought iron and has an amber textured glass cylindrical shade.It measures approx 17" tall and extends out approx 10.5" from the wall to the outer most section. It is in estate fresh as found condition- uncleaned just as I found it. Offered here is a lovely decorative cast aluminum polychrome chandelier with crystal accents. This piece has been fully rewired. Cleaned and restored. As with all of our antique and vintage lighting, this piece is ready to install in your home. Notice the green and red highlighted details on the ornate portions of the light. This kind of work is called polychrome. And is very common for piece produced in the 1930's for the American lighting market. Antique 1920's Large Church Chandelier Lantern Light w/ Gothic Details
Beautiful 1927/ 1928 lantern chandelier salvaged from an old church. This beautiful antique piece is rare in that it's perfect for decorating both hanging or sitting on a surface. It is made of hammered iron- I would guess. By the age and look, that it is hand-hammered- and textured glass panels. The glass is removable as shown in the first photo. It has six sides and a piece of glass on the bottom that can be removed as well. The lantern can be used as a light- you can put four bulbs in the fixture- or as a decoration without the light fixture. It does need rewired if being used for that purposed. As the wires were cut when they were salvaged. The fixture, however, can be removed with two screws. Without the fixture, you could use it as a planter on a porch or deck, or with candles, etc. The total height is 38" The glass enclosure ... moreis 26" high and the stem/top is 12" high. It is 13" across at the narrowest point and 14.5" at the widest point. These are very glamorous. Rare historical pieces. This is a beautifully constructed piece with no flaws or damage. Absolutely stunning chandelier. Incredibly heavy 40 lbs or more. Just over 30 inches across making a 60 inch circumference. It is hanging down about 40 inches the way I have hooked it for the photos. Each post is 15 inches long from the leaf tip to the end of the brass and copper ball. This looks as though it has been re painted. It has been painted over on the electric wires. The iron has some slight pitting underneath in small areas but it is a normal issue considering its age. There are 4 chains plus a cap with more chain to hang lower if needed. We are pleased to offer this unusual carved wood hanging lamp! This antique to older vintage fixture is very large. It features 6 panels in a combination of carved wood and wrought iron. The six panels have large arched windows with ornate carving above and below the arched openings. The panels are further adorned with large. Dimensional, carved wood lion face onlays. The lion face accents are located both on the upper and lower section of each panel for a total of 12. The top and bottom of the fixture features ornately scrolled wrought iron. The iron is twisted and forms the frame for the wood panels. There are 6 twists that run in between each panel. Attached to them are six twists that exend outside the wooden frame. This is a beautiful old fixture with lots of character and wonderful details. It is in good antique condition with minor ... moresigns of age. The patina is beautiful with some minor spots of expected rust on the iron. There is no glass and I do not see any evidence that there ever was. The fixture has one light socket located on the upper section of the interior. The wiring is older but in okay condition. The pendant is quite large. It measures 33" from the bottom of the fixture to the top of the circular ringed finial. The fixture is 13" in diameter measuring from the outer wrought iron twists. The iron is quite rusty and the paint is flaking off so it needs to be refurbished and painted. Also missing is some type of shade not sure what it would have been but there are 4- twisted design arms with threads at the ends for the shade to fit to as shown in my pictures. This is a great old light and will look stunning when refinished. The measurements of this fixture are 14x13 x6 and has a mounting pipe that would go into a wall or post. I have up for sale a wonderful matching pair of Antique Vintage circa 1920s or there abouts Gothic Tudor Wall Sconces.Complete with original Amber Crackle Glass Chimney Shades. The underlying metal appears to be brass- with factory applied finish. The metal frame measures approx 14-1/2" with the amber chimney- the height is approx 16" The back plate measures approx 4-1/4" wide x 9-3/8" tall. Both sconce frames are in Excellent Original as found Condition! There are no damages and wear is minimal-the finish is excellent. No breaks. No cracks, Etc. The lamps will need new switches- as the old ones are absent. The shades are in very good shape. They have some minor nicking/ nibbles on the top rims but this is fairly trivial and not something at all noticeable. One shade has a small chip. Shown upclose in pic#10. This is a wonderful old pair of antique Arts and Crafts Gothic gilt forged iron and brass foliate wall sconces. They probably date from the teens or 1920s. This is a really incredible pair of sconces. The detail and finish is wonderful. I found a pair with a very similar feeling online that were marked E. F. Caldwell. But these unfortunately aren't marked. If you Google Caldwell foliate sconces you will find a similar pair(though I must say not nearly as nice! for sale at $4900. I don't know how heavily they were colored when originally made. But the current color/patina is truly superb. The finish has not been touched. They have the original wiring. Which MUST be changed! Prairie Gothic Antique Light Fixture from Oak Park- Hand-Crafted Architectural Artifact This is a lovely. Handcrafted jewel from Oak Park, Illinois- the hometown of Frank Lloyd Wright and the birthplace of the Prairie Period in architecture and design. This hand-crafted lighting element has a Gothic/ Prairie/ Early Modern sensibility. It is almost certainly from the 1910– 1930 period. It seems to be a light cover or fixture that comprises gold-washed bronze structural element with hand-laid and tinted art glass with lead cames(the lead that holds the art glass together) The bronze elements are expertly cast and joined including the ornamental knobs. Three threaded attachments support the base. I am not saying this is a Frank Lloyd Wright designed piece but I have had experience with Wright's cube light's and other period lighting ... morein an up-close examination and these materials are very similar. The art glass is very similar to original material at Robie House and Unity Temple. Wright loved the hexagon. 8.25 inches high x 4.25 at widest. Fair condition. Slightly loosened cames(leading between art glass) which is typical for its' age. Original gold wash plating and lacquer finish are fugitive. Remnants of wax from later use as votive. Some surface dirt but this should be preserved. Will ship insured.

Antique French extra large Gothic wrought iron lanterns sconces 22 1/2" Tall Up for offer today an exceptional pair of sconces. These sconces date back to the 1940’s or about. These hung outside of a residence in Brussels Belgium. On the front door left and right of the door. But covered under a roof of the entrance. So these were protected from the rain etc… On another note. These sconces are not made to hang them straight in open air. These are not waterproof etc… These come with 5 pieces of glass each. We replaced these with new ones as the old ones were cracked and missing. The glass is new. 4 on each side of the sconce and one underneath. Originally these were painted or finished is a black paint. Rust was coming trough here and there. So somebody in the past finished these in this reddish color finish. You can either leave these ... morelike that. Which I personally prefer as it shows the age and character of the sconces much more. You can either strip the paint of or paint over this color to make it a more distract appearance. Just to give you a couple of ideas. These sconces were probably custom made at the time for this house. The estate these came from were higher class of houses for that time of period. Now the size. Height of these amazing sconces is 22 1/2" which is very large. Width is 13"and depth is 22" So these are not your average pair of sconces or lanterns. These sconces weigh app. 22 Lbs a piece. c.1927 Antique Vintage Lamp Made by Leviton as marked on the electric candle Art Deco Era- Spanish Revival. Gothic Style Single-Candle Electric Wall Sconce Marked patent 11-15-27 on the candle's electric bar under the cardboard tube. It's made from metal and called polychrome finish with gold color background and highlights of blue and red in center of what looks to me like a shield design. There is a crown shape in center. Decorative volutes at top and bottom, button like flower shape in center which attaches the bracket in back. On/off switch at base. Important.this old sconce needs to be rewired. This large wall sconce is in good condition with some mild to moderate surface wear and rust. Most of the rust can be seen on the back side and along the tops of where the light fixtures should be. Note the hammer marks and detail on the axe and hanger. This pair of lights measure 14" tall by 5 1/4" wide and stand out from the wall 7 1/2" The sconces have their original textured glass shades. One of the shades does have three chips around the fitter mouth, it does not affect them holding in the fitter and does not show when the sconces are together. This antique circa 1900 Bronze Sculpture depicts a Medieval Gothic Castle. At the corners are 12 ¾ inch tall spires with tall glass ... morewindows in between. Each side measures 8 ¾ inches wide and the overall height to the top of the center spire is 18 ¼ inches. The bronze surface retains its original patina and you can see evidence of gold gilt, of which the majority has worn away over the years. As you look at the close-up photographs, you will see that this solid bronze lamp shade is finely detailed and in perfect condition. There is something missing from the top of the center spire, but I don’t believe it was a cross. All the designs on this bronze shade are non-religious. At the bottom, you can see three threaded holes, which were used to attach this shade to a fixture. Inside are three opaque glass panels, which have fine, thin cast lines. Two of these pieces of glass are antique and one is a replacement held in with hot glue. This replaced glass is the only problem with this circa 1900 Bronze Lamp Shade. A nice vintage used cast iron with I believe copper bulb holder(under where the light bulbs go) It has a Gothic look to it along with a Art Deco style. This has 5 arms/ bulbs. This will need to be re-wired and new chain to connect the top piece& bottom together. This is all original. We only washed it off and removed the old wire. We planned to paint and put new wire(as my husband loves fixing old lights up but he has been away on business a lot lately so we decided to sell as is) Plus if my husband wires it, then if someone wants to paint it they would have to remove the wiring. Up for auction we have these antique folk art wrought iron outside or inside porch lanterns. Lamps, light fixtures, or candle holders. These are original old fixture not reproductions. Truly great pieces with normal wear from old age and a few paint spots, and minor rust nothing bad. They measure 14 inches top to bottom, and 8 inches at widest point. Each have 5 glass panels, all glass in great condition no damage at all. It looks to me like whom ever made them stopped short of finishing them. Can very easily be wired for electrical lamps.
