It is in great antique condition with no chips. Breaks or repairs. It has a bronze finish push on and off button switch below the arm. It is very decorated with embossed roses and flowers with a big ribbon at the top and a smaller at the bottom. It has been rewired and has a ground wire. The plastic candle cover has been replaced and is cracked. It has 6 holes for prisms and probable originally had teardrops. It is quite heavy for its size and has double mounting holes on each side of the center medallion. It measures 17 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide. The arm extends approx. 7 inches out. There are three curving hoops on the back plate each one having a crystal drop held with beads and glass floret. The curving arms have acanthus leaf decoration holding further crystals held with glass florets. There is an electrical candle fitting above a pretty and decorative foliate drip tray and they have a lovely warm gilt patina. It is in working condition but just needs cleaning, about 4 extra prisms and candle sleeves.It has 5 arms and measures 20" wide and 12" tall excluding the chain.It is made from a gold gilt metal and glass. It has bobeches on each arm which are 4" wide. With prisms attached. Total prisms are 26, it needs about 4 more and a center glass ball.The prisms are 3" long and are glass(1 prism is chipped) There are little glass flower rosettes throughout the chandelier which at one time probably had glass bead chain attached. I`m sure this could be purchased to make the chandelier truly beautiful again! The chain is 40" long and the wiring is 60" long. There is no ceiling cap included. I have for auction this magnificent genuine antique gilt bronze and fine french crystal chandelier. It will date to the late 1800s, it came to me through a house clearance here in the South of France, as you can see in my photo's, this chandelier is for candles, as it was originally, in approx the 1920s/1930s it was wired for electricity, but this wiring was so old and distressed. It literally d i solved in my hands. So it has been removed and put back to its original state, I still have some of the old bulb holders and faux candles from the 1920s. Made of wood, please see last photo, I am happy to include these for you in this sale; I am sure it could be easily and inexpensively changed back to be lit by electricity if required. The condition is good commensurate with it's age. The maximum drop is approx 29" or 74cms. This can easily be lengthened if need be by adding chain, the maximum diameter is 19.75" or 50cms. This is a wonderful old pair of antique Arts and Crafts Gothic gilt forged iron and brass foliate wall sconces. They probably date from the teens or 1920s. This is a really incredible pair of sconces. The detail and finish is wonderful. I found a pair with a very similar feeling online that were marked E. F. Caldwell. But these unfortunately aren't marked. If you Google Caldwell foliate sconces you will find a similar pair(though I must say not nearly as nice! for sale at $4900. I don't know how heavily they were colored when originally made. But the current color/patina is truly superb. The finish has not been touched. They have the original wiring. Which MUST be changed! I want to clarify that the arms on these sconces are absolutely 1920's over the top gorgeous original wall lamp arms. Someone has saved these beautiful arms and added the backers and frosted wheel cut glass globes. These are not 100% antique. They did a wonderful job and nothing looks muddled or forced. The golds match well and the top frosted glass shades are beautiful Art Deco style. The sockets and wiring are new and the mounting hardware is all new ready to use. This is a great re-purposing of two great lamp arms. They have not been repainted. They have the original two tone gold gilt finish and the casting is incredible. OR(when we had an ambassador) and are VERY charming. I have shown what they look like with shades(not included) They measure approx. 11 1/2" tall(from top of candle to bottom of fixture) x 8" wide. They weer rewired in the 70's(I was told) and work perfectly.

We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL AND RARE DESIGN. Antique(c1940s) French wall sconce lamps. This grand pair mimic climbing rose bushes which are attached to center poles/stakes. The vines/branches and leaves are gilded iron tole with ivory/white porcelain roses in full bloom. Each sconce features 7 porcelain roses. The sconces are quite grand in size and measure 29" tall. They have ornate wall plates of gilded bronze or brass with a flower petal design surrounded with a beaded pattern. Long arms extend the sconces out from the wall for an even grander effect. The sconces operate with one regular sized, 60 watt bulb(not the small candelabra type bulbs) Each sconce retains their original harp and finial. The finials are also porcelain roses. This is a beautiful, elegant pair of sconces with a truly unique design. THEY ARE GORGEOUS! ... moreThey are in very good condition for their age. The detail is incredibly nice on them! Much of the gilding is worn on them now but there are still traces of it left. I do believe that they are missing something on the very top where there is a tiny hole; perhaps some kind of small plaque. The wiring is in good shape and they are both signed in the back with the"C" in a diamond. They measure 23" high by 11" wide. These will make a wonderful addition to your home decor! Antique Italian Neoclassical Wall Sconce Gilt Wood 2 Candle Made In Italy
Up for sale is this antique Italian wooden wall sconce. It comes from a private Conn estate and was well taken care of. It has carved wooden holders for 2 candles and the scroll supports that lead up to it are metal. The base is carved wood. All of the wood has been gilded gold. There is a very old tag on the back that says Made In Italy. It is in very good condition for its age, no chips or cracks, some of the paint is coming loose around the holders and there is a small hole drilled in the middle of the base. Thanks for looking!
