Antique French style metal bronze & or brass wall sconce candleabra frame
Hi folks! here for your bidding consideration is this victorian era original candleabra framed wall sconce. I believe the piece to be made from bronze and brass and it measures 17" long from the top of the bow to the very bottom underneath the middle candle holder and just a little over 11 1/2" across the center front outside edge. Also measuring just shy of 11 1/4" from the back inside edge where a mirror or picture would be held and 36 1/2" all the way around the circle frame. As seen it has 3 seperate candle holders highly decorated with ornate molded florals& leaves. Detailed raised trim beading and what looks like a hand hammered top bow& ribbons. On the back is missing a couple of metal brackets which hold the mirror or picture inside the frame. The piece looks solid& free any breaks with no signs of ... moreany repairs. It's in a naturally aged patina no polishing and other than some naturally aged ware& tare such as tarnish as shown. A good polish will bring out it's beauty. Antique Set (4) 2 pairs French Bronze Louis XVI 3 arm Wall Sconces Circa 1910
Up for consideration is a fine set of 4 or 2 pair of Antique French Wall Sconces. The sconces date from about 1910 or so and measure 14 1/2 inches tall by about 10 inches by 5 inches deep. This set consists of 3 arms on each piece with great casting and super casting. As with good fine quality French Sconces they are cast in many separate pieces. The backplate consists of 3 separate pieces. There is a lacey bowtie top cascading down and tying into the top of the torch with descending bell flowers in the center body of the torch. A pair of solid brass girandoles. The bevelled oval mirrors surmounted by putti wearing turbans and flanked by more putti with palm leaves. Two candles supported on acanthus and foliage scrolls. Converted for electricity. Overall height about 13½" and just over 6½" wide. Project from the wall about 3½" Solid brass backs. When used as candle holders. The mirrors reflect the warm light beautifully. Where they have been converted to electricity. The wires are just about visible weaving around the arms. It would be easy to pull out the"new" candle sticks and use as originally intended. As candle holders. Otherwise I recommend changing this antique wiring.

The vines/branches and leaves are gilded iron tole with ivory/white porcelain roses in full bloom. Each sconce features 7 porcelain roses. The sconces are quite grand in size and measure 29" tall. They have ornate wall plates of gilded bronze or brass with a flower petal design surrounded with a beaded pattern. Long arms extend the sconces out from the wall for an even grander effect. This pair came from our last trip to France. It is a set of wonderful hammered copper back shields. With sturdy candle holders. Each has an extra groove for a hurricane or similar shade. There are also holes in the back that will allow electrification if desired. These pieces have great detail and are nicely weathered. There is a beaded rim and a nice shell design at the top. The sconces have a warm gilt finish with pretty scalloped wall brackets each with two curving arms and hanging crystals. There are curving hoops behind each light holding further matching lozenge crystals. Each curving arn supports a pretty and decorative glass drip tray and an electrical light fitting. They date to the early part of the last century and they are in working order but the wiring is vintage so should be checked before use.
