The plastic candle cover has been replaced and is cracked. It has 6 holes for prisms and probable originally had teardrops. Antique and original pair of Art Nouveau brass piano candle sconces. Or wall sconces. These sconces swivel on the piece that mounts to the wall. The y both have hard to read marks on the back- looks like DEP.MUSTER. Each scon ce stands out from the wall about 9 3/4 inches(24.8 cm) The flat piece that mounts to the wall measures about 4 3/4 inches(12.1 cm) top to bottom and 2 3/4 inches(7 cm) across at the widest point. Some points on condition: the pins on which these sconces swivel are different and likely not original. There is some pitting and greenish oxidation(see pictures) also some very small age/stress cracks that do not affect either the look or structural integrity of these sconces. Hello Industrial and Art Deco collectors! Up for bids is this recently recovered 3 arm cast iron chandelier. It appears to be 1920s vintage and at a cross over from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. It has black and white paint over what appears to be brass or copper. Measures just over 13 inches high. There are 12 inches between each arm and the base mount is 5 inches across. I see no marks to indicate maker. Still original wire. But it hasn't been tested. Comes from storage so needs cleaning up from some dust and dirt, but what a great restoration project! We can see a predominant Art Nouveau theme with Louis XVI elements. It originally had a central gas lamp and two additional lamps at each end. The gas lamps are now converted to hold electric bulbs. This is a counterweighted lamp: the center section can be extended/retracted with a chain and pulley system. This system works as it should except the chains could be longer. The bronzework on this chandelier is excellent. With high quality construction and nicely done details. A PAIR of Antique THEATER SCONCES Light Fixtures! Here we have very cool and very scarce find. A pair of antique light fixtures. Sconces, that I am told came out of an old theater that was being torn down. These were purchase in New York around 20 years ago. They were probably hanging on either the wall above the aisles or over the doorways into the theater. They look to be from the early part of the century to me. These lights are huge. Measuring approximately 26" long by 6" wide. Beautiful Art Nouveau. Deco flower and scroll design that would work either horizontally or vertically. They are metal with wood backing and are quite heavy. Looks like they were originally painted gold and one of them is worn more to the metal than the other. One has original inside fixture. The other needs replacing, this should be an easy find and ... morethe backs come off very easily. The last photo. although not a very good photo-sorry) show the one with the fixture lit, to give you an idea of the pretty glow they make when working. Of course even though this one worked, I would rewire it anyway. These would be amazing brought back to the original look. It is a torpedo like shaped fixture that has hand painted lines through it that form a check like pattern. It has a brass top and hanging chain on it. It measures 11 inches from the brass hook on its top to the pointed shaped bottom. It is about 4 1/2 inches at its widest part. Circa 1930's. This item is in very good condition with the exception being a'dent' on the top part of the glass dome. Not sure if it could have been from it being blown glass or not but its more like a melt then anything else and its a b out a 1/2 inch wide. The woman who sold them told me they were art deco but I believe the style is more art nouveau with the swirling curves. They are a very superb pair of sconces made of brass and are very solid and weigh over a pound. The mounting plates have a hammered texture and the rest of the sconces have a smooth surface. I have not polished them and have left the original patina. I only cleaned out the old candle was residue although there is still some left. The back of the mounting plates are marked Ges Gesch 21. I believe the sconces are either from Germany or Austria. They measure 8 1/4" long and are about 5" high when measured from the ... moretip of the scrolled base to the edge of the candle holder. Original Antique ART NOUVEAU LIGHTING FIXTURE- metal & brass from ~1900
Beautiful ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU ceiling light fixture from an old hotel in Hillsboro. Tx. with the period Acanthus leaf details. We have had this since the hotel was torn down in the mid 1970's. My husband's family owned this property in Hillsboro which was built around 1900. Around 1969 or 70 some of the hotel was turned into dormitory rooms for the local Hill Junior College. Then around 1975 the property was sold and it was torn down for a grocery store. My husband and I grew up in Hillsboro, before moving to Austin for UT in 1974. This is one of the pieces I thought we had lost but I recently found. It's mixed metal. brass, cast iron, maybe more. There are some holes in the electrical canopy for whatever reason. Pair of beautiful late Victorian or Art Nouveau electrified candle sconces in ornate brass. They are marked on the back with PCCF. And +++++ underneath. At first I had thought they were made for a church(and they may well have been) but some internet research found another piece with the PCCF markings. Skinner Auctions sold a French Art Nouveau fireplace screen marked PCCF and 151CC for $652 in June of 2011. So these are definitely high end sconces; substantial. Ornate and beautiful metalwork from all angles. They measure approximately 8-1/2" high. 6-1/4" deep, and 3" wide at candle cup. Probably made for candles. I believe someone has wired them. I have not tested them, though from the look of the wires, they have been used. They are marked in pen"R" and"L" on the back.

The front features a hole where a knob would be mounted to control the flames. There are a total of 2 gas burners, it could be used as candlestick holders or even be converted to make a really nice wall accent lamp. These are incredible Art Nouveau style sconces and have beautiful antique milkglass globes with a lot of detail. Each is 10 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 8" off the wall. Beautiful detailed castings to the metal sconces and matching details in the milglass globes. Very fancy! There are a lot of uses for these. I think they are bedroom lights but I could see these used on either side of a bathroom mirror or as very ornate hallway lamps. The milkglass gives off a very delicate glow. Original wiring is good. You are bidding on an absolutely beautiful solid brass Antique FRENCH ART NOUVEAU with FRENCH LADIES circa early 1900's 3 light chandelier pendant light fixture with Alabaster shades; the shades are a mixture of amber. Ivory and slate green colors. It measures approximately 22" across x 43" in length and the ceiling plate is approximately 6.25" wide. This fixture has been rewired. This is a very unique and very heavy solid brass fixture. Three tips of one of the alabaster shades petals have broken off. These do not even show when on the fixture, but I want you to be aware(see the pictures)otherwise this is a very ornate& beautiful fixture in excellent condition. Antique 1920's Art Nouveau Wall Sconce Light This auction is for a very nice 1920's art nouveau wall sconce. Great detailing and polychrome decoration. This measures 11" long and 4.75" wide. Good working order and good condition with no breaks. Cracks, or repairs. The cardboard type candle cover does have some of the"wax drip" detailing with burst to the drips, which I am mentioning for accuracy. This has been re-wired with an in-line switch and outlet plug so it can be hung on a nail and placed anywhere in the home. Both the switch and the outlet plug work great.
