There are some chips to the shades at the mounting area, which are well hid when installed. There is some old paint at the top of the canopies and a piece of scotch tape, both which I'm certain could be removed. There is some scratching to the frost on the shades, presumably from cleaning. Please expect the items to have various other areas of wear and patina, including scratches, scrapes, dings, rust, dirt, finish loss, etc etc as they are quite old and used. It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. vtg antique lot of 4 Riddle metal electric wall sconces 1 & 2 arms shield motif
Hi up for sale is lot of 4 antique cast metal wall sconces. There are 2 with two arms and 2 with one arm. They have a shield like motif. The double armed ones are 9 1/2" tall at the center part. And about 9 1/2" across. They stick out 3 1/4" the paper socket covers that look like candles are 5" tall, they have some wear. The single ones are 9 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" across. All have turn switches toward the bottoms, all have the hangers that the finials go through the centers, one is already attached in the pic. They are in good shape, have some finish wear. Marked Riddle Co Design Made in USA I can't authenticate this but the previous owner told me they came out of the John Deere House in Moline IL. For your consideration is this Vintage Art Deco slip shade. The shade measures 7 3/8" by 4 1/2" wide at the top fitters and 1 1/2" wide at the bottom. The shade is in great condition. It has a couple of tiny flea bite chips on the fitters and one on the inside of the top left scallop. These are small and will not show or affect the hanging of the shade in the fixture. Here is a pair of frosted shades that were removed from a home that dated from the 1920's. I'm not sure if they are original. But they appear to be from that era. The exterior is frosted and the interior is painted. There are a good amount of'flea bites' on the exposed edges. Check photos for condition. Antique French extra large Gothic wrought iron lanterns sconces 22 1/2" Tall Up for offer today an exceptional pair of sconces. These sconces date back to the 1940’s or about. These hung outside of a residence in Brussels Belgium. On the front door left and right of the door. But covered under a roof of the entrance. So these were protected from the rain etc… On another note. These sconces are not made to hang them straight in open air. These are not waterproof etc… These come with 5 pieces of glass each. We replaced these with new ones as the old ones were cracked and missing. The glass is new. 4 on each side of the sconce and one underneath. Originally these were painted or finished is a black paint. Rust was coming trough here and there. So somebody in the past finished these in this reddish color finish. You can either leave these ... morelike that. Which I personally prefer as it shows the age and character of the sconces much more. You can either strip the paint of or paint over this color to make it a more distract appearance. Just to give you a couple of ideas. These sconces were probably custom made at the time for this house. The estate these came from were higher class of houses for that time of period. Now the size. This beautiful vintage light fixture features a thick. Heavy, textured, light golden, glass shade with a wheat pattern on it that gives off a gorgeous warm glow when lit. The rim is clear and scalloped and refracts light beautifully. There is antique brass center column with an acanthus leaf design that holds six crystal prisms. The shade hangs by three chains with a small crystal bead and crystal rosette on the ends. The canopy is antique brass. Restored Jadite 1940s Art Deco Glass Flush Mount Light Fixture Chandelier 1 of 2
This is a light jadite green shade with a raised Art Deco design in clear. This is a very rare color in these. It's a wonderful simple. Yet elegant fixture. It has a small faceted piece of crystal for the stem that adds a lot of sparkle on the canopy. This a flush mount fixture. And only hangs 12" from the ceiling. It's perfect for lots of impact in a small room with a low ceiling. This would be gorgeous in an entryway or powder bath. It's really beautiful when lit. The shade measures 11 inches in diameter. The hardware. And canopy is dark antique brass finish. The shade hangs by a center post and is held into place by a brass finial with a large crystal ball. This fixture has a brand new triple socket and new wiring. It takes three standard size light bulbs. A really nice feature of old glass is that it gives off a beautiful ... morewarm glow no matter what kind of bulb you use. In the pictures above. Up for consideration is a fine set of 7 double arm bronze Gothic/Tudor/Medieval wall sconces. The sconces measure 14 1/2 inches tall 9 1/2. They are bronze with two arms with a back plate that has a variety of themes. There is some panther heads that are peeping out from behind a shield. There are some Art Nouveau type floral embellishment in the center. A Gothic stained glass window type back drop with a winged Gargoyle on the bottom. Some of the sconces have a blue backplate and a few have a burgundy color. Both look to be original coloration. Two other sconces have been painted and sometime in the past with a silver color and one sconce has been stripped completely of color.These sconces are of nice scale not too big but chunky enough to display in a room with a 10. 12 or 14 foot ceiling. up for consideration is a fine set of(5) vintage/ Antique Wrought iron Wall Sconces. They measure 13 inches tall by 7 3/4 inches wide. The sconces are unmarked. They are hand wrought and have pull chains for each socket. The sconces retain their original cloth wiring. The back plates have a great cross back plate motif. 30s Vintage Porcelier Semi-Flush Porcelain & Glass Ceiling Light Fixture 16-1/2"
Description: This BEAUTIFUL 1930s-40s semi-flush ceiling light fixture features the hard-to-find large 16-1/2 inch wide shade. This pattern is more commonly found in the 14 inch size. The thick glass shade has a satin crystal color with a raised pattern. Parts of which are clear. The shade is textured with raised, small flowers on the frosted part, and is capped off with a solid brass finial. The porcelain canopy was made by Porcelier. And it is trimmed in gold, which is approximately 80% intact. The original matching glazed sockets are signed"Porcelier" The fixture has brand new wiring, and accepts three standard size bulbs, providing plenty of light. The light hangs down just six inches to the bottom of the shade. No chips or cracks to the porcelain or the glass. There are a few spots on the shade, which can be seen in the last ... morephoto. The spots appear to be the result of the manufacturing process. The mounting crossbar, screws and nuts are provided for easy installation. Ready to hang! Selling is a vintage white frosted globe shade with clear glass bottom The globe is in very good condition. No scratches, chips or cracks. The globe is 8 1/2 inches in diameter. The top opening is 4 inches. The bottom of the light has a square scalloped edge with a clear glass hobnailed(small diamonds and petals in center) clear glass.
