Antique Double Library Doors
Out of a mansion this set of double doors were used in the library. But can be used as exterior doors also. I believe that they are oak? Measure 80" tall x 29-1/2" plus four lines x depth of 1-1/2" EACH DOOR. As you can see they need cleaned and restored. Original arched glass. They measure 48 inches wide by 79.25 tall. They are 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approx. 16.25 by 40.25 inches. Overall they are in good condition. NJ. this church was built in 1861, the rectory was built in 1884. The dimensions of the doors are as follows. The height is 80 inches, the width is 30.5 inches, and the diameter is 1 inch and 3/4's. These are double width. Side by side doors, one left and one right) one door is stationary, the other one isn't, the stationary door has a lip on it. These doors have a few broken panes of glass(no more than two each) And this is where the bonuses come in! Included with this purchase are the following items which will make this purchase worthwhile. Included will be the original hardware. The lock assembly(no skeleton keys are included) plates, screws and door knobs, but NO HINGES. I believe that ... morethese pieces are made of brass. Also included are additional pieces of glass. Each door has a panel of antique distorted Florentine Glass at the top. The bottoms have a raised panel with fluting. The moldings around the glass and panels are ornate Eastlake beveled. The back sides are less ornate with a raised panel at the bottom. The doorknobs will need to be replaced. The brass hinges are bent but can be straightened out if you want to use them. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of pine and is painted on both sides. The top of each has a panel of distorted Florentine Glass. There are no cracks on the glass. There are 3 raised panels below each glass. The fronts and backs look the same. Most of the hardware needs to be replaced. One escutcheon is missing. It measures 46 inches wide by 83.25 inches tall and is 1.75 inches deep. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. The doors were trimmed and are a bit out of square. Please look at the pictures carefully.
