They measure 48 inches wide by 79.25 tall. They are 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approx. 16.25 by 40.25 inches. Overall they are in good condition. Each door has a etched basket of daisies in them and a large star at the bottom. The border around each of the doors is also etched glass. The wood appears to be oak and is in decent condition. Each door has a solid Douglas Fir core covered with 1/16" birch veneers and features 5 wavy glass lites. Although the 2 doors look like a pair when placed side-by-side. They need a bit of work before they could become a true pair. One door has a lip on the edge of its lock stile and the other doesn't. The hinge stile is wider than the lock stile on the door without the lip. We never took them off of the doors. I bought these BEAUTIFUL DOORS from an old house down the road from us. It was built in 1900. So the doors would be 115 years old. The man that was tearing the house down took the doors and the hardwarre out for me. But I am sure these would make a DELIGHTFUL set for someone who is redoing an old house and would like something that would match the original decor of the home. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of pine and is painted on both sides. The top of each has a panel of distorted Florentine Glass. There are no cracks on the glass. There are 3 raised panels below each glass. The fronts and backs look the same. Most of the hardware needs to be replaced. One escutcheon is missing. It measures 46 inches wide by 83.25 inches tall and is 1.75 inches deep. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. The doors were trimmed and are a bit out of square. Please look at the pictures carefully. Antique French partition doors. Large - 15 pane daisy glass.
This is a pair of French doors as you see. They are the type that one opens and closes freely while the other has a bolt at the top and bottom that you trigger to swing the other. They are large ones and were used to separate rooms. These have been stored for about 40+ years in an attic- so could use a paint job obviously but the wood is in very good condition.
