The ruffled rim is not cut as deep as the rest. One shade does have a small crack in it. These shades are not old and are common and were put on here to finish the look. Your buying the fixture and the shades are coming with it for FREE and are not guaranteed perfect or the cracked shade to arrive safely It measures approximately 24" in diameter with the shades on. Attributed to the French Bagues maker are finished in an aged silver leaf, the frames are beaded, the basket form is beaded with two candle arms. They are hung with wonderful antique crystals in amber, amethyst and clear in the forms of pears with crystal leaves, crystal balls, French pedagogue shapes, stars, flowers, crystal leaves and faceted drops. All in all an amazing fantasy of crystal and wonderful shapes. The scones measure 16" tall x 12 1/4 wide x 6 1/2 deep, and are a true left and right pair. They are now unwired and hang from a loop of silver and crystal beaded tops. If you would prefer them to be wired, I can furnish them wired as well. Matching pair of 4 early sconces. They will need to be rewired. These came out of a multi million dollar early 1920's home. I have had them in storage for years thinking one day I would have the correct home to add them too. I have decided to sell. They are heavy, the size is in the pictures, The cups are clearly Silver, the base appears to be Silver, I am not certain for I am NOT a metal expert, they are certainly extremely high quality and very old. This is a 5 slip shade fixture measures approximately 15" wide and 40" long from the ceiling.It has been in storage since 1987 at which time it was in working order. All original parts nothing has been replaced. I would re-wire it and replace some socket covers if I were going to use it today. On one of the shades there is a slight rough spot. It is hidden when the shade slides into the fixture. Also on the inside of the fixture there is a dark spot but cannot be seen from the bottom of the light. VINTAGE 1920's 1930's FLUSH BRASS FROSTED EMBOSSED GLASS SHADE HANGING HALL LIGHT FIXTURE A very lovely old. 1920's to 1930's, hanging light fixture that would be used in a hallway, foyer, or small room. It is a brass fixture with a glass shade and has a dangling finial at the bottom. The glass shade is frosted with areas with flowers, and leaves, that are clear. It still has the old porcelain socket and wiring, but I don't know if it will work because I haven't tried it(I don't see why it wouldn't) This fixture will hang down from the ceiling approximately 11" to the bottom of the dangling finial) and the ceiling cap is about 5 5/8" in diameter. It is in very good condition with no bends or breaks to the brass and no chips or cracks to the glass. There is some wear to the finish, on the metal piece ... moreabove the finial, but everything still looks fine. It will probably need to be rewired. 2 Bronze Art Deco Slip Shade Sconces by Midwest Lighting Company 1920's - 1930's
This is a beautiful pair of 2 art deco cast bronze sconces which I believe were manufactured by Midwest Lighting Co. circa 1920-30. They have a very nice warm coppery gold color to them. The sconces are slip shade in design but I do not have the shades themselves. The sconces have an abstract floral pattern to their design. Each sconce measures about 10 1/2" tall. And each is about 5 1/2" wide. The sconces are bronze and are quite heavy- about 1 1/2 pounds each. There is a bit of paint on the sides of each sconce. But this can be easily removed with fine steel wool. I removed some from one sconce and polished it up a bit and it came out very well. The sconces will need to be rewired and will need brackets to mount them to the wall. Up for auction is a stunning art deco. Polychrome chandelier. It has the original gold bronze finish and the polychrome is in burgundy and turquoise, which is also original. I had this rewired in reproduction cloth wrapped cord and the"dripping" candle sleeves are also new. I have over $500 invested in this beautiful light fixture, but it does not go with the decor of our new Southwest style home. Has five arms and it is beautiful lit up. My loss is your gain. There are some spider cracks at some holes(see last pic) on the bobeches where the pins are. Antique Weber Chandelier 1920-1930 Victorian era 5 light candle lighting
On auction today is. A very modern Victorian style chandelier made by Weber. It has 5 candle lights with painted/enameled? brass sleeves. Some spots of paint missing but in overall nice condition. The 5 brass arms are in nice condition. Need to be tightened and one or two maybe slightly bent but could be reshaped. It is 4 feet tall from the top of the ceiling anchor to the bottom of the arms. This piece has cloth wiring and would need to be rewired in order to work correctly. It looks like there is some sort of skinny brass arms that look like they would hold a glass shade over the top of the 5 lights. There is a missing skinny arm and the glass shade is missing as well.
