The spine is still tight. This is an ORIGINAL with the maps (including the 6 foldouts) and book plate are all tipped in, making them easily removable. Official Paved Road and Commercial Survey of the United States. Edition 1262. Copyright, by National Map Company Indianapolis, Indiana. I cannot find a date for publication or for the copyright. However, my research leads me to believe that it is from the late 1920s. I did find some map coupons in the back that is good up to Jan 1, 1933. The cover is soft leather, and it will measure 11 3/4 inches by 15 inches. It will contain 116 pages. The survey will have some edge fraying and dog ears on the corners from use. The spine is still glued together. The inside pages are clean with some of the pages in color.

Crocker, Topographer, published in the 1920s by The National Survey Co. Chester, Vermont. The book measures about 9 x 5 1/4 inches, has a brown leathery cover and contains all its pages. There are no rips or holes and everything is tight. Two sides printed on a thin sheet of paper with blue with red state boundaries and names. One side shows the eastern half and the other the western half of the United States. It appears it was never used or very little use. There is a corner crease from where the corner was mistakenly folded over and then place in the atlas for probably many years. There are two small tears(no paper missing) at 2 folded corner areas(see photo) and a few tears at the outer edge folded areas. This very informative map shows three types of roads: paved. Improved, and unimproved. The latter is designated as"Good ... morein dry seasons. State and Federal highways are properly marked with appropriate symbols and mileage is given between double circles.
