Well-preserved original early 20th century antique color lithographed folio map. Printed on quality paper which retains its inherent structural flexibility and soundness. Nicely detailed. An uncommon transitional issue of this huge map with boundaries and features not likely found on earlier or later issues of it. A monumental. Almost wall-size map, not to be confused with the much more common small atlas maps by Rand McNally. This map was originally issued within a huge shipping atlas which had a far smaller production and cost much more than the normal family sized atlases the firm produced.
