For auction is a Denoyer Geppert wall map of the United States and Possessions. Political with Names Denoyer Geppert Series. It has a copyright date of 1919 and Fifth Edition 1923. It was drawn by Baxter Blair. The staples has worn the top some and there is some damage to the bottom as shown in the pictures. It is canvas backed and still shows nicely with vibrant colors. This is a great old 1926 map of the United States.It measures 51" x 45" and has canvas backing and grommets for hanging.It is part of a set from Cram's"Portable and Washable" Map and Atlas Outfit.It was stored in a metal box. This is a used Nystrom United States Map. It is a Wall Mount School Type Pull Down Roll-up Map. This is a 1997 Edition of Model 1NP1 by Nystrom. The frame measures 68 inches in length. The map measures 65” x 70” The map is in good condition. It rolls down and locks in different positions. The surface is markable with water soluble markers. The lower right corner of the map has some wrinkles. There are no tear in the map. The outer protective green wrap has some scuffs and small tears. Vintage wall map of the United States made from leather. is 21 1/2 inches by 14 1/2 inches. 23 by 16 with the frame. Is made from one solid piece of leather that has been tooled and glued on the wood frame. Is in very good shape, but does have some scratches in the leather that have discolored. The oceans, rivers, lakes and Mexico are painted white. Does not include Alaska or Hawaii, not sure if that means it was made before they were states or they just didn't have room for them. This is a beautiful mint condition wall map of the United States. It was printed by OTTENHEIMER publishers of Baltimore. Maryland in 1966. The Cartographer was Channing Rwen Kao PhD. It was distributed by N. Miness and Company of Hicksville. New York. This map was certainly made for use in school or at home by a student. It is a Conic projection map. The map measures 37 inches across by 25 inches tall when open. This map is in its original packaging. The packaging is fantastic as you can see in my photo. And has the mid-century graphic design that you would expect. The distributor was in Hicksville, New York, so it is not lost on me that the color of the packaging is the orange& blue of the New York Worlds Fair. I slit open the top of the package to be able to take the map out and photograph it. Very Rare Antique 1905 Tunison's United States Wall Map Large 44"x62"
You are bidding on a very rare 1905 Tunison's Wall Map of the United States. The map shows state counties. Railways, distance and index. A map of the world is on the reverse side. Measures approx. 44"x62" Condition: Missing some paper along the edges-primarily along the top. One 12" tear and one 18" tear that starts at the top and runs down into the map. Several smaller tears primarily along the top edge. All tears have been secured with transparent tape on the REVERSE side. The tape appears to have been applied recently. The second page shows both a political and physical map of the U.S and the third features several maps of the State of Michigan. These maps are in very good condition. But were used in a classroom setting so they do have some small flaws. No tears, no major issues and all the spring mechanisms work very well! The spring operated roll system makes these easy to deploy and retract and it is in good working condition. These maps measure 65" across and maps vary a bit in length. But most are around 65" tall as well. It also includes the built in mounting bracket/rail so it's ready to install. Major cities, and boundaries are shown. It comes out of a closed school. The map is in a metal holder which can be attached to a wall or it can be removed from the holder. It measures about 64" wide and 59" long when pulled down. It does retract. Its colors are bold, and it displays quite well. There is minor surface wear at a couple of small areas.
