With hundreds of place names not typically found on smaller maps and a level of detail approaching a small wall map. In VG condition. Light minor surface soiling. Will look very nice for display. Once framed a fine large detailed map. Not to be confused with the much more common small quarto format issues of similar titled maps. This map was wax engraved and was issued to grace the Rand McNally Business Atlas. This map is genuine. Not a copy or reprint. It may have few minor handling flaws as to be expected in a map this age and large. Will look fantastic matted and framed. We take special care in shipping these maps as there are no replacements. Long considered the most beautiful of all 19th Century Railroad maps; this is the best of the best. You are looking at a map from Walker’s International Atlas. The map covers the whole of the North West Territories as it was in 1892. The maps themselves were the product of George Cram. A well know map publisher at the turn of the century. Walker took the base Cram’s maps and added hand colored lithography, giving a light Easter egg pastel richness that is eye stopping in expression and exact detail.
