One shade does have two small chips on the bottom opening, see image 8. One of the four shades also has a purple tint to it. It is subtle, but worth mentioning. It is the shade on the far left in images 1, 5, 6, and 7. Two of the sconces to have some splits in the perimeter of the canopy. They are on the part of the fixture that is common with the wall. It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! This pair of original Art Deco sconces are brought to you by DECONITES. These rare and collectable Art Deco sconces were produced by Lightolier. The deeply sculpted glass slip shades have dark enamel tinting to accentuate the decorative floral designs. The backplates are antique brass with some red enamel details. Both the glass and the backplates are in excellent condition without breaks or cracks. The sconces measure 9.5" tall. 5" wide and extend 5.5" from the wall. Pair 30's Vintage Deco Porcelain Bath Sconces Bathroom Milk Glass Shades
Description Please read everything carefully prior to purchasing. This auction price is for one matching pair. The pair of shades that are photographed and the sconces that are shown together as a pair are the ones in this auction. These are a matching pair of porcelain deco bathroom sconces(or wherever you would like) These Paulding wall lamps were made in the 30's and the design was produced into the 50's when they reissued wall lights from the same molds with polarized outlets. This pair has both sconces wired with an active outlet if you need one and they are polarized. It is your responsibility to ensure that these meet your local code. The original sockets-switches have been cleaned and lubed. They were designed to go on either side of the mirror above a sink. They will fit any standard box-4 1/2" wide by 6 1/4" tall ... moreon the backs. 7 1/4"tall with shades and pull chain, and stick out 4 5/8" from the wall. The slip in or drop in solid opal milk glass shades are damage free outside of normal manufacturing roughness. These shades were originally a choice for these fixtures unlike the clear glass with enamel coating shades which are often found for sale with this period style. This pair has a very small void in the casting that was glazed over so it was during manufacture. It is right below my finger in the 8th picture. The shades(at least one of them) are very opalescent and show a reddish tint. Not very noticeable but the price is lowest on this pair. You may choose from polished brass, rubbed bronze, chrome, or silvered on the cap nut to match your hardware as shown. Shipping is at cost, including combined shipping. Vintage Pair Industrial Articulating Arm Wall Sconces Flat Opalescent Shades
For your consideration is this great vintage pair of articulating arm wall sconces. These sconces have three adjustment mechanisms each and all of them work well and hold position securely. They have a great old steel gray patina. Which has a clear coat to protect and enhance the sconces. The shades are vintage 11 1/4" flat white opalescent shades in good condition, they have some little bubbles from the manufacturing process and one tiny place I believe was a bubble on the surface that looks like a tiny chip, it is under the shade and not noticeable. The light have been rewired with black twisted reproduction cord and have bakelite Eagle plugs. These industrial lights were made to attach to a work bench or machinery, so they have been attached to a new wall plate and are ready to hang and enjoy. There is a small chip in the fitter of the shade that cannot be seen when on sconce. The coloring may vary a little bit but it is due to the area in my hallway that the picture was taken. Antique Victorian or Art Deco Light Fixtures - Chandeliers and Sconces W/ Shades
This is an extremely rare find- a complete set of matching early 1900s light fixtures in amazing condition with ALL of the glass shades and NO chips in any of them! The lights could be considered Art Deco or Victorian or would even work in an Art Nouveau interior. I believe they are early 1900s- possibly 1910 or so. There are 2 chandeliers and 2 sconces. The chandeliers are about 18" high and wide. The sconces are about 8" high. They are very heavy. The chandeliers weigh about 20 pounds each. They are in beautiful condition. One of the chandeliers has very minor surface rust that I'm sure could be polished off pretty easily. The other fixtures have no rush whatsoever. They have not been rewired. This is a Beautiful Pair of Heavy Antique/ Vintage Cast Solid Bronze or Brass Wall Sconces with Etched Frosted Glass Shades. Made in Italy. Each of these heavy sconces weighs just under 3 pounds(without the shades about 6 pounds for the pair) And they have a nice heavy, solid feel. The back of each sconce has"ITALY" etched or cast into the back near the center hole as seen with a blue circle and arrow calling your attention to the location. I initially thought the sconces were brass but based on the patina and weight we think the may likely be bronze but we do not know for sure. I do not know if this meets current standards or not; convert an electrical professional. As you can see there is an IBEW(International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) UNION MADE green and white paper sticker and an Underwriters Laboratories Inc. black and yellow sticker on the back as seen. I found online that Underwriter Laboratories was founded in 1894. We do not know the age of the sconces, but it looks to me like they might be circa 1910s to 1930s, possibly toward the earlier part of this range since they are not of the 1930s/ 1940s Art Deco style. a pair of wall sconces with frosted glass shades. this measures with the shades 11" tall. the base of the sconce is 8" x 4 3/4" one of the collars on the scones has a crack pic# 5. the shades have some paint on them as you can see in the pis and have a few chips around the top rim but on the inside of the rim.
