Wonderful Pair Vintage Arts & Crafts Mission Tudor Copper Porch Ceiling Lights
Wonderful Pair of Vintage Copper Porch Ceiling Lights. Would look great on Arts and Crafts. Bungalow, Tudor, Farmhouse or inside, too. There is still a union made sticker on one of them. They have been cleaned with the patina left intact. The Lovely etched glass is in great condition. The wiring looks fine but I will leave the choice to rewire up to you. 9 1/4" tall. 5 1/4" at the widest point and the top would cover 4 1/4" PLEASE view pictures carefully for condition. Vintage fixture. The chrome housing/ceiling canopy does show some minor blemishing to the finish relevant to age. I replaced the original socket. I had a box of unused older sockets that has the string type pull so the socket was a perfect companion to the fixture since the canopy piece does have an opening hole for the string to come through) The sockets shown in the last photo are not included with the auction listing. Box was pictured to show the socket used as a replacement is new old stock. No chips or cracks to the glass, the fitter end opening is 4" Shade is about 8 1/2" in diameter. About 6 1/4" tall. The acorn at the end of the glass is cast aluminum. It uses a standard size bulb. I don't know if it works. I have no way of testing it. It's in good used condition. No cracks. Chips, or breaks. One very tiny chip on the globe edge that goes into the fixture, hardly noticeable. Some surface rust on the metal, paint worn/faded. Globe has scuffs and marks. Looks like a new socket has been put into it. Has the original screws that hold the globe on. It measures 12" long. Fixture is 5 1/4" diameter, globe is about 6" diameter, opening that goes into the fixture is 3 1/8" diameter. This is a really neat antique light fixture that would great as a porch light ... moreor hallway. For your consideration is this wonderful antique Japanned Finish Porch Light Fixture. The details just make this light. Including the riveted roof, and the rings around the light, the Japan finish chain. This light is from the 1920's or 30's and measures 33 3/4" tall including the 17" chain and canopy and measures 11" wide. It has it's original hand poured, textured amber glass and all of the tabs that hold the glass are intact. The glass does have some flaws, due to being hand poured, these are not cracks, there are no chips or cracks in the glass. The light is in great condition, as shown it does have wonderful character of old patina. I am not sure if the light is brass, that has been copper plated and Japanned or Copper, but it is one or the other. The bottom is open as shown and the socket is porcelain. Early 1900s Vintage Amber Glass Ceiling Light Fixture Hall Entry Enclosed Porch
Description: This light fixture has an antique amber glass shade. Circa 1920. The hexagonal shade is textured and has an embossed pattern that was common for stained glass windows at the time. The cast metal shade holder is not from the same period, but rather Mid-Century. It has the color of aged brass, but not real dark, and it has a new porcelain socket with new wiring and mounting hardware. The light measures 9-3/4" tall. And 6" wide. The condition is excellent, with some chips around the 4" fitter rim, which are not seen at all when the shade is installed. There are some spots of discoloration on the brass finish of the metal fixture, but not real noticeable. A beautiful light, and ready to hang!
