PORCELAIN FLUSH CEILING FIXTURE. 1920'S- 30'S, ART DECO ERA, MODERN WIRING This art deco era ceiling light is a flush mount porceilain fixture. I believe that it is Porcelier. But the sticker that probably accompanied it at one time is missing. The porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips or repairs. The wiring is modern. I have tested the fixture and it works correctly. Judging by the small hole near the center mounting hole, it probably had a pull chain on/off witch when it was new, but the switch has been removed. It was common for the early fixtures to have pull chains because they generally did not have a wall switch to turn it on& off. The fixture is 10-5/8" long. 6-1/4" wide, and 3" deep. Here is a nice vintage hanging light. Nice art deco. It holds 4 bulbs. The center bulb is a large size porcelain socket. The three arms take standard size bulbs. The body is made of iron. The arms are made of nice decorative brass. About 10 inches tall and 7 inches wide. I do not know exactly how old it is but it is an old one. It has aging and wear with some stray paint on the brass. Paint is peeling on the iron body, it is still very nice. It has socket recepticles but will need to be rewired if you intend to use it. Sold as-is, not tested for working condition, wiring is old. See photos for condition. I do not see any serious dents. Repairs, nor damage other than the old wiring. It is vintage and in as found condition and will look even better if properly cleaned. Beautiful Antique Frosted Glass Shade Ceiling Light Fixture Porcelain Canopy
Beautiful antique glass shade ceiling light fixture. This light comes with the mounting hardware and is ready for use. The light has a wonderful glow with the frosted shade and clear glass accents. It really lights up a large room and gives it a warm inviting feeling. The pressed shade has a wonderful raised clear leaf and flower detail with clear glass scalloped and spider webbed center. A heavy brass pineapple finial finishes off the bottom of the shade. The porcelain fitter is by Porcelier and like the shade in excellent condition. The fitter has leaf design along the rim. Antique porcelain ceiling or wall mounted light fixture with pull chain hole. Has a nice painted wild flower pattern. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks that I could see. It does not have the socket or wiring as it would need to be replaced with new anyway. Suggest rewiring it before installation. It is 7" across. 2" tall and the mounting holes are 4 1/2" apart. The fixtures are stamped"Porcelier" The set includes two ceiling or wall mount lights, one is a double socket light. The sconces are identical in color and pattern. They are a golden color with white undertones. They are trimmed in gold with a French or Italianate vine and leaf pattern. The pair are stamped"Porcelier" on the inside. They are in very good condition with very little evidence of age/use. The two light sconce has two"lines" that look like hairline cracks. However, if you run your finger over them, you cannot feel them. I truly think they are age marks in the finish. There is some very light crazing in a couple of areas. This vintage light fixture has such great design on the piece. It's all around the outside and then then ittle circle in the middle of the light. Its in great shape. No cracks or chips. Vintage ceiling light fixture steel with porcelain socket and wiring
Vintage ceiling or wall mounted light fixture. It has the original porcelain socket and hold down ring. It also has the original cloth wiring and is in good condition. It is steel and painted white. There are some light stains and may need to be repainted. There is a hole in the side for a pull chain. The base is 5" across, 3 1/2" tall and the mounting holes are 3 3/4" apart. These are two vintage lights. One of them is a ceiling with a pull switch which will have to be rewired. It has pink and blue flowers. It's 6" The second matches but is a wall light. Again this will have to be rewired. From the back down it measures 7" and then where the bulb goes its 3" high. The one has a label that says porcelier. It has been salvaged and fitted with a period correct shade fitter, an NOS Leviton socket and NOS vintage cloth-wrapped, heat proof cord with a plug. My eBay name says it all.liquidators. I was an eBay seller back in 2000 and I sold to meet a financial goal. Life has a way of taking over such that when my goal was hit my inventory just sat in storage. Well. I have to admit not only did it sit but over the years I have added to it. Due to my fiancé in all likelihood having to move overseas due to work in 2015 and me tagging along I HAVE TO liquidate my inventory. And yes, I have that much that I need to start now. I salvaged 3 of these beautiful lights from a turn of the century home in the Northeast. These were covered in paint and I painstakingly removed the paint to expose the brass and porcelain. The brass base features an Art Nouveau floral motif with two porcelain mini shades for each bulb. The original finial is also here. It measures about 6" by 12" The shipping and handling can be calculated. Description: This BEAUTIFUL 1930s-40s semi-flush ceiling light fixture features the hard-to-find large 16-1/2 inch wide shade. This pattern is more commonly found in the 14 inch size. The thick glass shade has a satin crystal color with a raised pattern. Parts of which are clear. The shade is textured with raised, small flowers on the frosted part, and is capped off with a solid brass finial. The porcelain canopy was made by Porcelier. And it is trimmed in gold, which is approximately 80% intact. The original matching glazed sockets are signed"Porcelier" The fixture has brand new wiring, and accepts three standard size bulbs, providing plenty of light. The light hangs down just six inches to the bottom of the shade. No chips or cracks to the porcelain or the glass. There are a few spots on the shade, which can be seen in the last ... morephoto.
