This pair of 1920s Mission Arts& Crafts porch sconces are made of rolled sheet. Wire, and cast metal with brass hinges& top locking ballhead screw. They have been restored to the original black. The six slumped amber pebble glass panes are new& are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Each porch sconce measures 12 3/4” tall, 10 1/2” wide& extend 5” from the wall. They open to change the light bulb by unscrewing the small ballhead screw near the top, and then pulling the shade frame down with its hinges. The bottom brass hinges are new. PAIR ANTIQUE Gothic Tudor Renaissance Revival WALL SCONCE lamps lights 1920s
I have up for sale a wonderful matching pair of Antique Vintage circa 1920s or there abouts Gothic Tudor Wall Sconces.Complete with original Amber Crackle Glass Chimney Shades. The underlying metal appears to be brass- with factory applied finish. The metal frame measures approx 14-1/2" with the amber chimney- the height is approx 16" The back plate measures approx 4-1/4" wide x 9-3/8" tall. Both sconce frames are in Excellent Original as found Condition! There are no damages and wear is minimal-the finish is excellent. No breaks. No cracks, Etc. The lamps will need new switches- as the old ones are absent. The shades are in very good shape. They have some minor nicking/ nibbles on the top rims but this is fairly trivial and not something at all noticeable. One shade has a small chip. Shown upclose in pic#10. They are ... morea heavy thick glass- and have excellent color and effect when lit. The bulbs that fit the lamp have to be the long slender type. You may have to screw the bulbs in from the top as the inner diameter of the shades are approx the same as the bulb and they will slide through the bottom but the sides touch on the lower section of the bulb. No big deal just do this from the top and no problems.They are old replacement shades-dating to the same era- almost identical to the originals-which are shown in my last pic. I have 3 more identical sconces- the only difference is that the shades on the set that is listed here are a bit darker in color and slightly heavier. From the same era. PLEASE HOLD OFF ON PAYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED MY INVOICE. I will only package once the lamps sell and will then submit the invoice. Pair of Real 1920s Hearst Castle Urns Spanish & California Revival
Thank you for looking at these amazing Hearst Castle Urns. These urns were given to Sally Hearst by her husband George Randolph Hearst. They were used at Hearst Castle and then taken to Sally's residence in San Francisco and eventually made there way to her granddaughter in the Central Coast of California. I purchased them from her. They are tremendous and rare. The only known urns like them are at Hearst Castle and are painted green. The urns are heavy 41lbs each and made of cast stone. They are 20 inches tall and about 42 inches around. They are a pair which is great and are unrestored. The urns themselves depict a bird on a crest with flowing banners which is indicative of the Spanish Revival influence and the light blue and yellow colors are a theme of the period.
