Mid Century Milk Glass Ceiling Lamp with Chinese Garden Courting Scene
C. 1955 milk glass ceiling light with all sides covered with a Chinese garden scene showing a nobleman courting a lady accompanied by her servant. Glows wonderfully when lit providing a warm and elegant element to the room. Equipped with original 10+ ft. of brass chain and 15+ ft. of cord for use as a swag lamp. But it's easily converted to a hot wired chandelier. The glass is 14" T and 10.5" at the widest with a 6" opening at the bottom for casting the light down and easy bulb change. In very good working order and in very good condition with the exception of a couple of small spot with minor scratching as shown.

Vtg. Antique- Lg. School House -Industrial Ceiling Fixture Light - Milk ? Glass
Offered is a great old ceiling mount fixture. I know its definately Vintage, Possibally antique but not sure. It's like a school house or industrial style, Has a large white glass globe, that I think would be a milk glass, The globe alone measures 16" across center, 10" deep or tall and the opening including its lip is 6" across center, when placed on metal Holder/ Fixture it hangs down approx. 14" from ceiling. Its Holder is a bit unique from most, instead of having screws that hold on the glass it has a colar with clips, once collar is off, you slip the globe on and then the colar goes over 2 tabs and you twist the colar to lock on the globe. The holder looks to me to be a sorta brushed aluminum and the colar I think is either a thicker aluminum or steel possibally. The Glass is in very nice condition with no cracks, ... morehas some tiny knicks on glass right around the opening on lip. The metal holder shows age of scratches and spotting(nothing major) but you could always paint it if you wanted it to look newer. Its a tiny bit indented where screws went, most likely from over tightening it a bit and the area that fits right up to ceiling has a round hole which I think may have had either a switch or pull type chain at some point coming out of it but it must have been removed.Its works fine and the socket is porcelain. Vintage Art Deco school store ceiling light fixture beehive milk glass shade
For sale is a vintage art deco metal school store ceiling light fixture with an awesome milk glass shade. It is a vintage light but is new since it still is in the box it was bought in and has never been installed. It has been stored in the attic for many years and the lady discovered it and sold it. The fixture with shade measures about 12 inches down from ceiling and about 9 inches wide at widest part. The fitter of the fixture measures about 4 1/4 inches and the opening on the shade is about 4. The fixture is metal painted a very dark brown almost appearing black and a white section holding fitter to canopy. It is in excellent condition. The fixture has a new bulb holder and the original wiring that is in good working order. The wiring does appear to have dried out some and is a little brittle being on the attic so long. Might consider ... morereplacing wiring. easy and very inexpensive thing to do) The milk glass school house shade is in great shape without any chips or cracks and has a shape I think is similar to a beehive or possible acorn shape(very unusual and art deco looking) It is painted white and has some clear glass sections.This is a great fixture that would add an awesome vintage. It comes with a period ceiling mounting bracket and was being used up to the time it was removed. The baked black enamel painting is strong and in very good condition. There is the usual light chipping on the ground base but no cracks of obvious defects. This wonderful 1930S" Machine Age"ceiling fixture measures a full 16 inches tall, less the base and has a six inch opening. Large Art Deco Octagonal Milk Glass & Clear Glass Ceiling Light Fixture Shade
I am selling a vintage art deco milk glass and clear glass ceiling light globe. This item is in excellent condition. It is probably from the 1930 to 1940 era. The top opening outside to outside is 4 inches and probably fits a standard 3 screw base. The overall size is approximately 11 to 12 inches long and approximately 7 to 8 inches in diameter. The shade holder is in great condition with one very minor shallow ding in the form of a straight line measuring 1/4" long, hardly noticeable. SUPERB Victorian Gothic MILK GLASS Ceiling Light c1900. Originally from Church
This superb Victorian Gothic ceiling light was removed from an ultra modern flat in London's Docklands just last week. Rather surprisingly being used with a Herbert Terry anglepoise wall lamp, which is listed seperately. I was told that this milk glass light had originally been found in an ante room of a local church and apart from receiving a good wash to the shade and rewiring. It has retained it's original fittings and is completely as found yet looks simply stunning. The hexagonal milk glass shade is approx. 12" tall. Giving a 15" measurement to both shade and it's fitting. Each of the hexagonal arched panels measures 3" and the total width of the shade is approx, 7" The original hammered metal rose is present but a new chain and sympathetic wiring has been added. I truly wish I had photographed this before ... moreremoval, as once illuminated it displays enchantingly. Please take a close look at the moulding to the shade. As it is very fine work and adds considerably to the overall gothic effect. Be sure to take a look at the Herbert Terry lamp and it would be great if they could again be displayed together!

This auction includes a set of two vintage 1920's Moe chrome ceiling fixtures with ribbed art deco milk glass shades. And mounting hardware as shown. They measure 11 1/4" across the fixture bases. By approximately 5 1/2" tall to the top of their mounting hardware in the center of the glass. Both are in very good vintage condition. there is some expected wear. a nick to the inner edge of one porcelain socket. maybe some surface rust on the interior and back side of the fixtures. I haven't cleaned them being I don't want to cause damage. So I don't know exactly how much will come off, but they will definitely look better after the buyer cleans them(they have dirt and paint on the fixtures) Bright spots are only light reflections.
