This pair of original Art Deco sconces are brought to you by DECONITES. These rare and collectable Art Deco sconces were produced by Lightolier. The deeply sculpted glass slip shades have dark enamel tinting to accentuate the decorative floral designs. The backplates are antique brass with some red enamel details. Both the glass and the backplates are in excellent condition without breaks or cracks. The sconces measure 9.5" tall. 5" wide and extend 5.5" from the wall. And for many decades thereafter, the Lightolier Company(extant today of course) made some of the very finest fixtures. Their designs were always simply dazzling, and the quality was the very very very best. When you restore vintage lights such as I do, these aspects are so obvious they tend to jump out. It’s always a particular pleasure restoring a Lightolier! The fixtures are typically Lightolier in being rather ingenious. The shades have little leg-like extensions on top. Creating a space between the shade proper and the chrome fitter above. The finial has pierced openings. The reason for all this? You can use 100W bulbs without the fixtures overheating. The heat from the bulbs will create an air current. This will draw cool air up through the openings in the finial. And out through the openings between the shade legs. Clever? I think so! The shades are also striking. The edges have very thin raised lines. And the bottoms have a highly textured, dimpled surface. Nice. The smaller fixture is especially adorable. This is a very nice original cast iron Lightolier fixture. It is in very good original condition. It is a nice tan and gold color. It does have a few nicks in the paint(see pictures 7.8,9) It came out of an old house. It has been rewired, and comes with the fixture strap for mounting. It would be nice in a hall, bathroom, powder room, or possibly on a porch. It measures 7" diameter. It has the Lightolier sticker, and is marked C3637. It also has a G on the back. Offered is this fantastic vintage 50's modern Lightolier large chandelier pendant fixture. Large saucer white enamel reflector with three bullet or cone shaped shades. Often attributed to Edward Wormley or Gerald Thurston but has a strong Italian influence like Gino Sarfatti or Stilnovo. Measures 26" in diameter by about 36" total length including cord and ceiling cap with about an extra foot of cord so it can be lengthened or shortened if desired. This is the chrome base only. the last picture shows what this originally looked like and these are available in another listing. again. For this listing you are getting the metal base only. ALL ORIGINAL piece with the metal section at 9” tall and 4.25” across at its widest. Two cast holes allow for easy attachment with your hardware. The socket has a paper board sleeve over what looks like a brass fitting/ socket. A metal turn style switch at the base of the socket area turns it on/ off. The paper board socket cover has wear and you may wish to replace it but it is not necessary. This shows what it looked like with the glass section in place but please understand this does NOT include a shade. The current shade measures over 7” tall and is 5” wide ... moreat the fullest. Here is a vintage/antique Art Deco Style Double Wall Sconce Light Fixture. Although it feels and looks like cast iron. It must be some other metal as it is not magnetic. It does however have a beautiful look to it, with golds, reds, and greens, in a wonderful old design. This piece measures 12" in height, is about 10" wide, and projects from the wall about 4" The original'dripping' candle paper light holders are in wonderful shape- one of them does have a slight tear on the back side. This looks like it could be a lightolier piece, but I can find no markings, other than 1004 S stamped in the bottom of each candle holder. This is an fantastic mid century modern 8 light silver with black accent chandelier. We have seen this attributed to Tommi Parzinger for Lightolier. The finish has tarnished and if you want shiny it will need to be polished. It does have wear appropriate to age. Use and garage storage. It is in working condition, but we would have it checked.
