I have never previously offered chandeliers quite like them: The original candle covers are metal. And have a textured faux finish including drips. I also like how they taper. Very cool. The covers are“held” in place by aluminum. Um, arms. There are also aluminum flourishes at the top and bottom of the chandeliers. There are six arms. Nice, and each holds six amethyst glass drops. These appear to be original. There is an additional drop in the center(these seem to be replacements) The pipe stems are covered in cloth cord. I also love how the arms sweep down and up. The chandeliers are an impressive 21-inches wide. They are 33-1/2-inches long(to the bottom of the cloth tassel) And 26-3/4-inches minus the tassel. If you need the fixtures shorter, I can reduce the length of the pipe stem a few inches. If you need them longer please contact me. I lusted after this exquisite pair for a long time. It was a thrill to at last purchase them. They are so very beautiful; I love just simply staring at them. Wholly restored and with new wiring. I’m certain it’s not earlier or later. I’m certain. Too, as to its beauty. And rarity. I’ve never offered a chandelier like it. All the metal components appear to have a pewter finish. Nice. Each arm has distinctive crystals. The hurricane shades are particularly lovely; that they remain in situ is frankly amazing. I also like the expressive glass stem. The chandelier is clearly modeled after an Argand lamp. From Wikipedia: The Argand lamp was new to Thomas Jefferson in Paris in 1784. Which according to him gave off"a light equal to six or eight candles. These new lamps. While more complex and costly than the previous primitive oil lamps, were first adopted by the well-to-do but soon spread to the middle classes and eventually the less well-off as well. Argand lamps were manufactured in a great variety of decorative forms and quickly became popular in America. This fixture is. Obviously, a delightfully faux Argand lamp chandelier. The chain is original. As is the ceiling canopy. The exposed wire is cloth-covered like the original. I would say the the chandelier. At 17-1/2-inches wide. Is medium in scale. To me. They were used on an Orleans style home that was built in Texas. They are hand blown amethyst glass into metal frames. As you can see they were out in the weather and they wire/wrought iron frames have rusted but they are still intact. I have not cleaned them but I did wash some of the dust off of one so you can see the color of the glass. There are some tiny flecks of white paint on the glass you will need to remove as well but that is easily done with paint remover. You will never find ... morea pair of fixtures like these again! I feel they will clean up nicely and one could re-paint the wire to preserve it from further rust. They come in two peices that you would screw together. They will need to be re-wired as they have the old fabric covered wiring. The small pieces go on the top with a"ring" to hang them from. Sadly. One of them has broken areas on one side. If you are adventurous you might be able to get them repaired but I would not even begin to know how. OR you could just turn that one to the backside so it could not be seen. Pair of Antique / Vintage Wall Light Fixtures 2 Lights Parts or Restoration
Pair of antique wall fixtures/sconces. They are metal with a silver plating. Could be either silver or nickel plated. Not sure but there are some scratches that look like it scratched off the plating and whatever the coating is has tarnished. One of them still has the socket attached. The wires are cloth coated. 2 Antique hanging ceiling light lamp fixtures w/sockets chains 4" fitter
This auction is for 2 antique/vintage hanging ceiling light lamp fixtures with a 4" fitter. These are all wired up and the sockets work great. You just need to find 2 bulbs to fit the 4" fitter and you have 2 gorgeous hanging ceiling light fixtures. They hang 18" from ceiling to bottom of the fixture. 2 Matching Vintage Wall Hung Art Deco Bathroom Light Sconce Lamp Fixtures, Works
DESCRIPTION: A vintage pair of matching Art Deco. Sconce style, wall hung bathroom light fixtures. They are 100% Complete, 100% Original, 100% Operational! I do not know the age, but am guessing circa 1930's. They both have a round bakelight switch at their base which allows for individual control of the lights aside from any wall switch to which it may be connected. The glass cylinder"chimneys" are large enough to accomodate regular size incandescent bulbs(I photographed one of them with a 60W bulb to demonstrate it's luminescence) The sconces appear to be nickel plated. A magnet will stick to them and the plating is thick. But please note that I am not a metallurgist. There are several design indentations located at several places on each sconce, in which it offers a textured surface that is in contrast to the super sleek ... moreshine of the majority of the surface area. The chimneys are a white milk colored glass(NOT frosted) and are evenly shaped cylinders. Important dimensions: Total Height = 8 1/2 inches. Chimney Height = 5 inches. Chimney Diameter 2 3/4 inches. Sconce Height(at the wall) 6 inches. Sconce Width(at the wall) 3 7/8 inches. Mounting Bracket = 3 3/4 inches Long. CONDITION: These matching fixtures are 100% operational. The condition of the electronics. Except for the wiring, is excellent for its age. I tested lights and switches on both lamps, and they performed perfectly. The sockets are in great shape. The bakelight switches have strong"click" advancement conditions and, as earlier stated, they work well. The wiring should be replaced. While the sconces probably can be polished, they are in excellent overall condition, with no flaws. The chimneys are similarly pristine, no cracks or chips. 2 VINTAGE Brass and Glass Union LIGHT WALL FIXTURES Wheat Pattern Both Work.
Two vintage brass and glass wall light fixtures. Both are wired and have working switches. I tested both and they both work. Decal says" Inspected electric fixture issue AA-66176 E 12540" and second decal says" Union- American Federation of Labor" Wheat pattern. Brass measures 7" X 4 1/2" Slightly larger with glass shades attached. Each attaches with working thumb screws. The shades are thick= 1/8" One surface chip on the inside of one of the shades. NO CRACKS. Slight surface scratches on some of the white inside glass frosting. These will be very nice restored. VERY OLD! Sold as is. Thanks for bidding!

2 Hand Made Light Fixtures Reynolds Tobacco Tin 660W P&S Ceramic Brass Theatre?
This listing is for a lot of 2 handmade light fixtures. These lights may date to the 1910s but it can only be said they were made after 1913 as one of the cans lights was made out of a RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company Winston Salem North Carolina tin. The tin has a copyright of 1913. Both are about 4.75 in diameter and are about 4 Inch high. The top of the light fixtures are P& S Patented 660W 250 V and most likely copper or brass on Ceramic bases that fit inside the hand made cans. The one light is made with the tobacco tin can that covers a steel can with two holes in the bottm to attach it to a surface. It also has set outlets with standard fixtures on either side to attach it to other cans. Coffe tin hand riveted in 8 spots with copper to the steel can. The other steel can is wrapped with copper and soldered on the bottom with three holes ... moreon the bottom and 2 to attach to a surface. Also has a hole on the side for power cord possibly. It is my best guess that these were rustic kits ordered from a factory and made on site possibly for a stage or something else requiring a bright sequence of lights. 2 Schoolhouse Industrial Light Fixtures~Machine Age~Rewired
These are two(almost) matching light fixtures from the early 1900's. The fixtures themselves are 6" in diameter by 5" high and have porcelain sockets. They each have Gothic style loops on fluted rods that extend another 5" above the light. The canopies are 6" diameter by 5" as well. The difference comes in the pieces attached to the canopy. One has the same loop on the rod like the ones on the fixtures along with 2 chain links. The other has one chain link and a different piece that looks like a hollow ball with a hole in it. I imagine it was a way to add another wire and tap into power without having to make another hole in the ceiling. Maybe not. I really have no idea. The rod on the one with the matching loop is marked inside the canopy with a patent date of 1916. They are in good condition but both have a ... moregood bit of general wear with some oxidation. They each have only one original globe set screw and the others have been replaced with hex head bolts. They have original sockets that have been rewired and they work. Email with questions. Very cool mid pair of century light fixtures. These feature brass canopy and fitter at the top of the shade, satin glass shades have cool waved vertical ridges. Very good condition, glass looks very good, some light wear to the metal on the canopies but nothing major, these are very nice. Globes hang from a white"cage" inside the globe which can be slid up the cord to replace the bulb. Sockets will take 60 watt bulbs each. 21" drop from the ceiling but could be shortened or lengthened about 12" 19" around the glass globe, each globe is about 12.5" long. Includes all mounting hardware, ready to install when received. Two (2) Antique Vintage Ceiling or Wall Light Fixtures-Cast Metal and Brass
This auction features two(2) very unique antique ceiling or wall light fixtures. Constructed of both brass and cast ferrous metal. The base of the fixtures is brass, which is currently heavily painted over. Oxidized brass can be observed at the edge of the base and at the ceiling holes where the paint has been scratched off. The"canopy" is cast ferrous metal(a magnet is attracted to it) designed to appear like"roping" It, too is heavily painted, so I don't know the color of the underlying metal. The canopy is secured to the base with the large"nut" that also secures the light bulb socket. The light socket on both fixtures is the original Arrow 3134 socket and it visually appears to be in good. Working condition. Short pieces of wire are still connected to the underside of the socket where it was salvaged ... morefrom the ceiling. The socket appears to be constructed of copper and ceramic material. The dimensions of these two fixtures are: Base: 5-1/2" in diameter Cast Metal Canopy: 6" wide at the widest points Overall fixture height: 4-1/2" from the bottom of the base to the top of the canopy. These two fixtures are quite unique-I have not seen any that resemble them. They appear to be in excellent condition. I have not cleaned them. And I am selling them in the same condition as I acquired them. They definitely need to have the years of paint removed from them to return them to their original beauty. Double(two) bulb with finial hanging in center. Some wear, but original paint looks to be a light beige color on the base with light green leaves and pink/peach accent flowers. You get a pair of antique Art Nouveau Chandeliers with their original French hand blown frosted glass rose petal shades. They have the patent dates of"Dec. 9. 1890 and Sept 29, 1896 Weber Patents" on them. They measure about 22" across from shade to shade and have a total drop down the center of 13" They have aged patina on the brass. Overall in very nice antique condition.
