Large scale, 5 arm, vintage solid brass gas style Victorian chandelier with stunning acid etched blue ruffle rimmed shades. ... moreThis is a newer fixture designed after the grand brass gas fixtures of the 1800's. All new modern sockets and wiring but with high quality brass casting and design. This is a large fixture and the pictures may not convey the scale. It measures 63" tall x 33" wide. It is perfect for a Victorian entryway or stairway. You would need tall ceilings for this one. Check out the pictures. The detail is beautiful. Cast Griffins and torches are right out of the 1800's. This fixture is not marked but in excellent condition. The 5 brass arms have gas key turns and nice solid brass shade holders in a period style. Shades are hand tooled glass. The design on each shades is of flowers and trees repeating around the base. The shades are French and marked"CVV Vienna and Made in France" They have a wonderful blue tint at the ruffle rimmed top. Each measures 8 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" tall. Perfect scale for this size chandelier. This is an incredible and elegant brass chandelier that if wired to a wall dimmer switch would create wonderful lighting in any room. It would be a stunning focal point to a grand parlor. A 1930's Art Deco architectural salvage Ceiling Light Fixture, complete w/ hanging switch plug. The is is an entire self contained electrical system for a room with only a ceiling drop; complete with switch and electrical outlet. In the early days of electricity. From about 1880 to 1930 and later for some, the houses were not wired for electricity. This is an entire circuit for a room with one ceiling light drop. Included is the ceiling light and glass, but also included is the original braided cord(2 feet or so) and original light and power switch that hangs from the ceiling fixture. With the one power source you could run a room from this spot. Dimensions- fixture hangs 10 inches long from ... moreceiling to bottom of glass. Glass is 7 1/2 inches in diameter; fit ring diameter for glass 4 1/8 inches; Ceiling plate 5 7/8 inch diameter; Mounting hole spacing 5 1/4 inches. The electrical components are all in excellent shape. Currently wired and working for photos. We have opened up the socket/switch mechanism so you can see how clean and excellent it is. With a little staining on the ceramic light socket. You can see how excellent the parts are within the original light socket. This is is excellent for an era correct installation in a historic home. Original restoration of early electricity supplied age homes, built from the late 1800s to the 30s. We have only cleaned the components. Evaluated condition, and a reassembly of parts throughout. We can paint the base to make this beautiful. But felt that it would limit the future need. Antique Vintage Light Fixture Gas And Electric Hanging Fixture No Shades
Here is a great old gas/electric combo fixture. And all of the gas plumbing appears to be intact. The finish is worn over the entire piece, all components except for the gas plumbing are brass. The gas valves move freely, though there is no wiring at the moment. One of the sockets is frozen, so the pull chain doesn't move. A complete rewire is needed anyway, so all of the issues can be addressed at that time. There are no shades included. And there are 2 fitter screws that are missing. The fitter size is 2 1/4" for the electric, and 1 1/2" for the gas shades. The finial appears to be a replacement(see pics) There is a nipple at the end for mounting/gas connect. Antique Ceiling Hanging Light Fixture Chandelier 5-Bulb Electric Brass Metal
For your restoration pleasure. Here is a lovely antique ceiling fixture. Mixed metal construction, the socket covers, bottom body, and ceiling rose are brass, the arms are probably pot metal, and the upper body part is steel. It measures about 18" across at the sockets, hangs down approximately 16" from the ceiling to the end of the finial. All five sockets include the shade screws and the individual switches are intact and seem to work properly. The lamp will of course need to be rewired. And it has developed a fair amount of oxidation, tarnish, and finish loss. Other than that, the fixture is in remarkably solid condition, should restore to a show piece or could be enjoyed as found if you appreciate a shabby, original look. This auction is for an ornate Victorian or Art Deco looking brass ceiling light. Chandelier style, made to hang on a chain. It was taken from my mother in laws house recently during a remodel, the house was built in 1916 and this is the original living room light. It has three lights, the holders for the bulbs are on ornate arms, and dangle, they are not fixed in place, and they were set up to turn on individually by turning the key on each light. The chain, and ornate key bit on the end are still present as well as a cone like piece, but I can't recall how they were all put together. but all the pieces are here. There are 3 heavy glass shades, lightly frosted on the insides and not chipped or damaged. The light fixture has some dust on the top, a few paint splashes from paint jobs over the years, and the wiring is the old original cloth ... morecovered style, so I would recommend rewiring! This is an antique indoor or outdoor wall mount electric sconce fixture. it has nice ornate detailing with a thick patina from age. it is made from copper and is wired up until the threaded screw under the wall canopy. the canopy and lamp cage are also copper. it has a nice porcelain socket which holds a single generic sized bulb. measures about 12 1/2 inches up and down by 4 3/4 inches wide and sits 10 3/4 inches. it has some ware to it. Antique Light Fixture Chandelier Ceiling Copper Wash 4 Electric Sockets Flush
This antique(probably 1930's era) ceiling light fixture is made of metal. Possibly copper or a copper wash over base metal for the circular portion. The arms and bulb housings appear to be cast and are probably base metal. The circular center cap was probably flush mounted to a ceiling(mounting screws or connectors are NOT present) Four hanging electrical housings with individual old plastic turn knobs on each hang decorative cast arms. The on/off knobs are black and are marked"Weber" There are no other manufacturer markings on the piece. The center round cap is about 11.75" in diameter. Excluding the arms. Diameter from the outer edge of arm to outer edge of opposite arm is about 16" The very old bits of wiring still present are obviously not usable. CONDITION USED- ANTIQUE/VINTAGE WITH WEAR/DAMAGE Nice old metal ... moreceiling fixture in"as found" condition. Including grime(it has been surface cleaned, but still needs more! Antique Porch Light or Post Mount Cage Lamp Fixture Salvage Non Electric
Please enlarge and review the photos carefully so you can get a sense of just how unusual this lamp really is. We acquired it at an architectural salvage auction. I have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find another one like it and been unable to do so. It is metal, but I can't guess what kind as it is not terribly heavy for its huge size. I believe it would have been either a porch lamp or a post mounted lamp and may have served to hold either a lantern or a very large candle. It has never been electrified. It would come out almost 12" from wherever it was mounted. The length from the bottom of the ball to the top of the spire is about 19-1/2" The cage part looks like chicken wire. The top lifts up and down and latches so that the lantern or candle can be inserted and/or maintained. The fancy little latch is in ... moreperfect working order. There are no dents and the lamp is actually in very good condition except for the heavy surface rust which has completely overtaken the entire piece. The wire is slightly pushed in. Probably from the lamp having leaned against another object, but it is minor and can probably be easily straightened. I date this piece to the late 1800s or early 1900s. This is an auction piece. Being sold as described, as is. I cannot guarantee that it has not been exposed to odors: smoking, fragrance, cooking, mustiness, mothballs, other types of storage odors or pets. Up for sale is a mid century vintage electric ceiling lamp. It has the 2 socket fixture as well as the shade. It appears to be complete. The shade appears to be in good condition with some chipping on the edge of the hole where the bracket attaches to the fixture, this is not noticeable due to a decorative brass piece that embellishes the finial that holds on the shade. The painted flowers(they appear to be white and pink roses with bluebells and other blue flowers as accents, as well as brass accents. Very shabby and country feel. Vintage Electric Wall Sconce~Cast Brass?~Double Light Fixture~Antique?
This sconce has Grapes. Fish and a Tassel in it's casting. Two arms with bowl like holders. It's pretty old. The end of the tassel bows upward and is not flat on the wall. Not sure if this is how it was cast or not. Needs re-wiring, has on/off switch in the middle. I'd guess it's probably close to 100 years old.from the 20's? I'm no expert, so maybe you are? Antique 5 Light Early Electric Chandelier Brass Ceiling Art Nouveau Fixture
Very nice antique. Turn of the century, art nouveau 5 light chandelier. This is a very heavy solid light fixture. It weighs about 15 pounds. It measures approx. 19" across and is about 32" from the top that attaches to the ceiling to the tassel that hangs down in the middle. There are five copper lined sockets. Each one has a bakelite switch. Four of them say"GE" and the fifth one says"Paiste" The tassel in the middle is very heavy. I believe it is solid brass. This light is very old. Dating back to the early 1900's. The glass globes with it are not the original ones that were with the light. We just knocked the dust off of it. I think with a proper cleaning it will have a beautiful finish. I'm not sure if the wiring is original but it will need to be replaced as it is frayed and just doesn't look ... morevery safe. Combination Pendant- Restored Gas/Electric Light Fixture
Previously restored Combination Pendant-Gas/Electric light fixture. This fixture was completely restored at some point in the past. The cloth covering on one set of wires is disintegrating but the wire underneath has a modern plastic jacket. Someone replaced the sockets and the shades. Shades are cut glass and the bowl shade has a nice single clover detail amongst the diamond cuts. Lights can be wired together or switched individually. There is a small dent on the top of the fixture. You will never see it when the light is hanging. The shades are satin and reverse painted with a few minor chips. This light needs to be rewired.
