Rare Vintage Gothic Red and Amber-Colored Plastic. Wood, Metal Light Fixture Upfor auction is a Rare Vintage Gothic Hanging Ceiling Light. It has a pattern of alternating Red and Amber curved plastic panes separated by curved brown wood panels. Underneath the shade are four curved metal candle holders that hold electric candles. Each chandle holder has four decorative leaves that compe part way up the electric candle. Keeping true to the pattern of the chandelier. The candle holders have an alternating pattern of red, amber and wood beads that circle it. The Wood panels have a pretty metal flower near the bottom. The Chain is at least 12 feet long and feels very heavy. The last picture is of the on off knob. This is unqiue chandelier fixture is lovely. This is a very nice mid century hanging swag lamp. The chain hooks up to a ceiling hook. Etc. the lamp hangs down. There is plenty of chain to reach quite a distance to an outlet(then just plugs in- no hard wiring needed) The clear coated electrical cord runs within the chain. The cord/chain has a dial type switch(see photo) The globe is glass with bubble shaped type texture pattern. The ends are metal. Please examine all enlarged photos for best description. I believe you will be pleased with what you see. On the upper rim. Under where the metal covers, there looks like there may be a small crack. It does not go through the glass. I noted it when I took the metal off. I will be adding a photo. It is covered by the metal& does not affect appearance. Other than that there are no chips, cracks or breakage. In a few small areas there are ... moresome minor changes to the orange/amber color on the glass- much like thinning varnish, typically expected with aging. In my opinion it is not all that noticable when the lamp is on, nor does it detract from the wonderfulness of this lamp. It is a good sign of true vintage age. Again, see all enlarged photos. Vintage Mid Century Green Electric Plug In Hanging Lamp w/ Amber Colored Glass Globes and Glass Prisms. This Lamp or Light works great and would be an asset to anyone's vintage home decor. Please look at all pictures and read item description. Here is what to expect as far as condition and is what was written above: Vtg Used Condition. Might need more cleaning. It has been cleaned lightly for pictures but might need a little more. It is missing one of its original nuts on top. We have replaced it with another one as seen in pictures. The prisms could stand to be rewired and attached to the lamp. The wire has gotten old that holds them onto the lamp and sometimes they break off due to the brittle metal wire. So rewiring the prisms is a must eventually. It isn't missing any of its prisms. You might see some minor scratches to the paint ... morebut none that is just awful or takes away from the lamp. The goldtone chain might have some fading to the plating but really looks good for its age. I don't see any rust on the chain at all. 3 matching 1930's slipper shades. Not a super rare pattern but a great find none the less. One is perfect. For your consideration is a beautiful. Scarce. Cast bronze, American art deco chandler made between 1930 and 1935. This is not just a lovely slip shade fixture with slag glass but actually a highly sought after“brown-tipped” or“soleure” pattern five-light slip shade fixture. Somewhere along its 85 year journey the five slip shades were lost or broken and five light amber slag covers were put in. This chandelier looks fantastic with the slag but it you ever dream of having the brown-tipped chandelier. You will have everything but the five slip shades. Notice the lower center brown tipped shade is already provided. But if you never go for the brown-tips. You will find this chandelier with very intricate details and beautiful finial. The finish is original with bronze and gold along with other color paint. It also has original wiring. I am shipping ... morewith light bulbs though please note that the fragile insides might not make the trip. Note the low start price. Considering the brown-tipped chandelier worth.
