The chandelier is bronze/brass with a gold, ormolu finish. The chandelier has intricate details and patterns. The arms are ornate and feature large, curved scrolls. The column, bobeches, ceiling canopy and bottom of the frame are incised with a very beautiful and ornate pattern. The chandelier is in original condition and comes with GORGEOUS, cut leaded crystal prisms in varied sizes and styles. The bobeches each house 5 large, 3" teardrop prisms. The"unlighted" arms house 3 very large, 3.5" teardrops on their lower sections. On their upper sections, they house UNIQUE LARGE, 5" CRYSTAL"TASSELS" These gorgeous prisms are cut on an angle at the bottom and are quite ... moreinteresting. The bottom finial holds a very large, 6.5" spear prism. There are a total of 55 prisms on the fixture. All of the prisms are old, leaded crystal. It is stamped"Made in Spain" on the inside of the ceiling canopy cover. The original chain is quite ornate with 2 alternating link patterns. Chandelier lights have bobeche cups that can be removed on each branch, and this could easily be made into candle burning. Very very heavy solid brass with patina, probably sealed with lacquer? The chandelier is 23" Wide. It measures 32" tall, not including chain and cap parts. It is many cast brass construction which has various removable center parts and branches, around large screw core. The candle covers are okay but some have cracks or pieces missing and should be replaced to make it look perfect. The wiring to branches is on top of arms not inside like cheap hollow chandeliers. NO REPAIRS or SOLDER OR DAMAGE, EXCELLENT condition! Chandelier may be partially unscrewed in center to accomodate a smaller shipping size, so please be aware, though getting it ready for your room will take minimal reassembly, just simple attaching together again. Here you have a large Black Wrought Iron Chandelier- not sure how old. Or if it is definitely an antique. It is 2 Tier with 12 Candle Holders. It weighs about 30-35 lbs and is 42 inches wide and 37 inches tall. There are minor rust spots and the finish may need to be re-done. One of the long curved wires is slightly bent, but is not overly noticable. Description Up for offer today a great old Dutch chandelier. Made out of good quality copper. It's a shiny chandelier. Was well maintained and cleaned trough the years to keep it this shiny. The candle covers are in real wax. Height is 26 ½” without the chain and canopy. If you include the chain and canopy height is 30 ¼” Width is 25 ¾” This chandelier has 12 arms in total as well as 12 lights. It made in 2 tiers. Very cool.
